Surprisingly it's already long enough that it won't hold my favored side-part without product (I expected to be able to keep that up until new year's), but it is long enough that I can have a funky version of the topknot if I want.
The only trim I got was an inch off the back last month to prevent mullet'ness. The long strand in the back of my hair in the picture is a section I'd apparently missed (I might not cut that bit with the rest of my back when it gets mullet-y again, just so I have something to mess with)
It's looking great so far! And believe me, I remember the mullet-phase I had to go through, it was hilarious. From here on out, it's all about patience, and if you've got the willpower to refrain from the scissors. Goodluck, and let it grow and flow!
It looks great, VinYang. Just remember the awkward stage is something you just have to live through - once it grows out more, you can trim it them if you want a more even cut - but so far, you have the foundation for some awesome looking long hair.
Patience, my young friend.
