Hi Bill,
Just thought I would post this nice feedback about your article on Choisser.com. Very nice to see since you did such a good job on it!

Nice comments about Bill's article

Thanks, Ted, for letting us know about that! It's always interesting to see what people say about you when they don't know you'll likely see it. I especially liked the comment about how I explained scientific stuff simply, and that I should be a teacher!
As for Long's problem, I didn't have it here. I looked at it with two browsers just now, and neither is complaining.
Bill
You are quite welcome Bill! I am so glad I discovered the MLHH and am very pleased when I see positive comments about it! And yes, I also believe you would be an excellent teacher!
I think the resident antivirus suites like Norton etc. probably show that link as being malicious. I don't like those since they use too many resources and are always running in the background. I am happy to hear not everyone is having trouble with the link! Last thing I want to do is post malicious code on the MLHH!

I note the positive comments on Bill's article on the women's net and think they're very well-deserved.
That aside, I was surprised to read that women also feel significant social pressure against growing and wearing their hair long, granted that 'long' for women means something a bit different from 'long' for men. I never would have guessed that women in general are such conformists concerning hair...you live and learn, eh!
Don
Hi Don,
Young women rarely experience any grief for having long hair (unlike young men, who can experience a LOT of grief about it because so non-traditional in Western Society).
One of my long-time Swing dance partners used to have very long hair when she was younger; but as she aged, other women started pressuring her to cut it back to a more "practical" length... annoying, isn't it? I thought her hair was beautiful, including with the natural grey coming in; but she eventually caved into the social pressure to cut it to a "medium"-length style -- apparently also for business reasons she did this.
I've heard this sort of thing from other female friends of mine, too. Sad.
