I now use two leave-in conditioners recommended at the hair salon. Especially for the ends in back. After shampoo, I apply Kiehls Conditioner developed for frizzy hair. I do not rinse this off. After 10 minutes from the shower, I use a course plastic comb to straighten out the hair being moist. But workable with the leave-in conditioner. I then apply BC Bonacure Repair Rescue (Sealed Ends) leave in conditioner. I put a gob in my hands to run thru my hair. Several times. Takes half day to set and dry.
But then a brush just glides thru the hair. So sleek and nice looking. Hardly any tangles. Lasts about a week. Before I used these, I would have to detangle frequently. Try this if you have a tangled mass or before considering cutting off weakened ends in back. Kiehls has their own store outlets, especially in Europe that I saw this summer. BC Bonacure is on Amazon. But not in drug stores.

Read the reviews on Amazon. Apparently a knock off product. Lots of complaints about it.
Buyer beware.
Too bad, i've had problems with my ends, had to chop off about seven inches of ends. (I've had to do this about four times over the years.) What is ironic is I never had this problem back in the 1980s when my hair was knee length. Oh well, part of growing older I guess. (Yes, I'm old, I'm 60 now.)
Hi, Do you have a trusted stylist? I am always trying to decide, if I should keep trimming my hair twice a year, or just let it grow for a year. My goal is waist, but most likely no longer.

No I do not. Had one in the 90s, that shop closed. Haven't found one i can trust.
The choice is entirely up to you. For me I want my hair back to waist length but the ends were too ratty for me.
Understandable.
Hi Don,
WOW, your hair looks hands-down FANTASTIC! I love the waviness, the shine & smoothness, and definitely the color... Just terrific in every way!!
And, speaking of Persimmons...
I just ate one for breakfast earlier today (I've been madly in love with them ever since I first moved out to Calif. in Nov. of '77). People either love 'em or hate 'em -- and those that hate them have never tried a truly ripe one.... Ahhhh, so sweet!!
Thanks for the nice update!

Thanks Ken,
The Persimmon tree is now leafless from the recent heavy rains and wind. There was only a narrow one week window to take some nice hair shots with enough leaves golden brown in the background. And some nice warm clear days last week. I put the persimmon harvest in boxes into the storage freezers. I blend the persimmons with other thawed fruit over the winter. Now I need to catch up with the rose pruning.
