So basically, I am soon at month 15 from a shaved head, and I have recently started exeprimenting with putting my hair up into either a tail or a bun using bobbypins to make it stay in place.
Hope this works! Here's a link to the video! :)
ManBun
Nice to hear from my mate in the 15-month Club. I do this kind of bun when I take a shower on days when I'm not washing my hair. I do a high ponytail (nearly everything goes in except my front bang, but doesn't stay long) and for the third twist of the hair band I pull only half of it through leaving a loop. It stops my hair getting wet.
It will take a little longer for you and I to get the hair to stay in that bun or ponytail. I did a ponytail today and then took off my tee-shirt. The result was a complete mess. A lot of my hair is only held in the tail by the very ends. We have to be patient.
Yours looks good, and you do a good job encouraging young hair farmers!
Carry on...

My blog
Thanks for taking the effort to reply, Anthony! My brother to the class of September 2013! :)
I agree, making a full ponytail or bun and having it stay put at this stage of our growth journey is completely impossible unless sititng perfectly still, haha... good thing we've got tons of patience and no rush what so ever, eh? ;)
The YouTube channel is probably one of the most fun things I've ever done, and it's seemingly inspiring more and more young men to grow their hair out, each and every day... thankful for the opportunity, and trying to convey a lot of the ways of thought I've learned here on the mlhh over there!
Quick manbun story:
After my disastrous Y2K short haircut in June of 2000, approximately a year or so after allowing it to grow back (looked approximately like your current length), I tried my first manbun attempt in over a year. It felt very "comforting" to be able to do that again -- even though not all that "impressive" for others to look at, I would assume!
In other words... I can relate!
Thanks for sharing, Raul, and keep up with the excellent hair-farming job!
