Hey guys! So it's been a a year and some change since I started growing my hair from a bowl cut (basically), and six months since my last trim. Hair roughly shoulder length, sometimes it gets in my way.
I've been experimenting with elastics and ponytails but they always feel like they're pulling. Even the gentle, no damage kind. Plus I don't really like the way that looks on me. Not a fan.
SO. I bought a big barrette, twisted it up in the back and viola. Hair is up and out of my face, and feels great. No pulling. So easy.
Here's the result. I love it!
Hi Steve,
I hear ya and tend to agree as the ponytail isn't always my fav as well.I like what you did with your hair as it looks very neat and stylish :)I like using my hair sticks as an alternative to the tail. Thanks for posting your pic and offering your opinion my friend :) Cheers

I see nothing wrong with barrettes, but be careful. They can damage hair if you try to put too much hair in one. Also, try to only use ones with a "French clasp".
I've received compliments while where this one...
I wish there was an "edit" feature to this site. Sometimes I type too fast...
"I've received compliments while where this one..." should've read "I've received compliments while wearing this one...
Thanks for the tip! I was concerned about damage, so I got a no damage one from scuncii... Or however you spell that brand name. Glad you get compliments! I have not worn my hair like this outside the house yet.
