Hi gang - as I have been growing my mane now for 5.5 years now - I thought to help others & contribute more = I made this video to help people diversify there lQQk = this method is quick, easy, comfortable: ( no-pulling ) & only 1 simple chopstix is used ... for all our busy men on the go = go get 'em tigers ... hehe cheers CEM. ~:O)~ ... plz. see video link provided:-

i'll have to give it a try again. Tried it the other day, couldn't get it to work. If i can get it to work it'll be an
alternative.

Hi 'LHIA' ... practice is required & it will always vary: ( subtly ) - never the same twice - the chopstick must be very smooth: ( else it will catch on your hair, as you try to 'feed' it into & through the bun: ( most - if not all ) hair-stix are very smooth for this reason ... as Mârk can attest to his love of hairstix - it's not until you try it you realise how quick, easy & comfortable they are ... good luck buddy cheers CEM. :0)
Well, my friend, you have most excellent hair - something to be envied, for sure.
well thank you fitz. - I think variety is the spice-o-life: ( a cliché for a reason ) - we long hairs: ( me / myself / I ) can fall into patterns where we just chuck it up into 'pony's' - varying our look gives us a sense of fun & renewed verve & commitment to the 'brotherhood' ( of being a longhair ) ... I've actually, over several months, had fleeting visions of cutting my hair: ( just for the desire of the ease of the 'wash-&-go-with-pert' syndrome ) & various hints from some that my long hair 'detracts' from me / my image / etc. ... which is where the issue of compliments comes in - when one doubts one self due to nay-sayers it is very easy to start losing inner power & momentum manifesting in loss of confidence & we start to doubt everything: ( a very dangerous state of being ) - just ask Madonna - whom famously said in an interview - early in her career - she only allows very fleeting secs. of negative thoughts, self doubt as a quick indulgence ... one compliment from a friend, family member, stranger, co-worker: ( whom sees your light & glow ) is enuff to re-establish self-worth / self-esteem & confidence in our chosen life-path direction ... thank you for your courage & authenticity & my wish for you is continued inner strength, renewed faith, strength of conviction & a 'smoothing of the waters' - big hugs to you CEM. :O)
Great video, I always wondered how this was done
thank you so much - I'm glad it helped - seeing is believing ! ... hehehe
Awesome hair, thanks for the great video.....

Awesome hair, thanks for the great video ... The Spaf Man
Thx. so much 'Spaffy' - I appreciate the compliment !!! cheers buddy ~~;0)~
I'm a long way from being able to do that. I will be 15 months by Christmas, so it swishes nicely round my shoulder and is starting to go down my back. As an alternative to a high ponytail which I don't like very much (and I'm not yet ready for a low ponytail) I occasionally use a hair claw. I found one that is black and plain so as not to be too feminine. I'll send a 15-month update later in the month.
I have thought about limiting myself to half-back, but I am open-minded to going a little further. I look forward to having a choice of ways to tie up my hair when it's not appropriate to have it loose (safety, sailing and cycling, being discreet in town, etc.).
I have seen very nice hair pins with fancy turned knobs, which I could make on my wood lathe. I imagine it needs to be a good dense wood like pear or exotic hardwood so that it can be sanded perfectly smooth. I'll give it a try. My singing teacher does her stick bun with a pencil, which isn't very elegant - but rather shows off her "bohemian" style of life. She's quite impressed by my hair, and teases me when I brush it aside out of my face during a lesson.

My blog
Just something on making hair sticks. Never mind the text saying they are for longhaired women and not for bald men (I have seen men who are bald on top do very well with what they've got).
What is interesting is the method of setting up your piece of wood between centres and the different designs possible. I enjoy working on the lathe.

Wow = those hair-stix. are veritable masterpieces = so beautiful and varied = I LOVE 'EM !!!
Hi Anthony - yes swishing hair is always nice ... I've always wanted & sort out masculine hair accessories: ( very important for us men: ( gay or str8. ) ... yes = you've 'hit-the-nail-on-the-head' re: wooden hair-stix: ( they MUST be super smooth - some even use metal ones ) - what a great idea to make them: ( can't wait to see the finished product ) re: your pencil-wearing bohemian singing coach - function over aesthetics sometimes wins ... lol ... keep enjoying your fabulous journey = & I know you do: ( I loved my awkward stage very much too ) - as you've said = just live your life = your hair will tag along for the ride & before you know it - mid-back-length will be your prize - cheers to you CEM. ~:O)~
Kills two birds with one stone as they say.........works as a hair stick and she has a pencil handy when it's needed. I've come accross other women who do that.
There's the old joke about the Irishman, Paddy, working on the building site in Liverpool. The roofer was a bit careless one day and a slate fell off his tray. It fell to the ground slicing off Paddy's ear. The foreman came along and found a bloody ear in the rubble. "I believe that's yours, Paddy". "Ah, begorrah, that won't be my ear. To be sure, mine had a pencil behind it".
Oh well... Actually I like the Irish and people in Brittany.

You make this look easy. I have never been able to do this with my hair. Scott
Hi Scott - your mind-blowing & astonishing length: ( the envy of the world over ) - could be the reason ... LOL ... practice makes perfect - you wouldn't do it everyday - but if a change is required & the 'oh-ho-hum-back-up-in-a-pony-tail-again-syndrome' sets in - & a change & some variety is required = it might be worth a try - if your partnered, maybe some assistance from them would help - maybe I should delete the 'easy' part in the dialogue - if I had your extraordinary length - maybe I would not do it / want to do it, due to the added weight pulling at the scalp: ( a feeling I detest ) - having options in life is a good thing - relating to your entry alot - is my desire to conquer, tackle & become accomplished at making a very neat & symmetrical plait from behind my head: ( & not rely on someone else to do it ) - I'm fiercely independent after all ... good luck if you decide to pursue it cheers to you CEM. ~~~;0)~
