Here is the way I was in January 2014
Today, almost eleven months later, on a very windy day:
Between gusts:
The hair-farming is coming on... I bought a couple of nice "medieval" shirts with a little Christmas gift from my mother-in-law, and it all seems to go together.

Nice!!!
I love windy day hair pics, as well as seeing your January 2014 photo right next to this month's pic makes it all the more obvious how much hair growth has been accomplished. Great "job", Anthony, you are an excellent hair-farmer!

Many thanks, Ken. You tend to like pictures of your hair in the wind. Not surprising as you would get a lot of wind in California from the Pacific. It keeps growing, and I look forward first of all to everything going into a tail - and then in a year or so (or more) being able to do a stick bun.

Wow, the progress is noticeable !
All that length in 11 months is a lot!
What length are you going for?
Excellent update!
I haven't a fixed idea about "target length" but I won't do any trimming before I'm at least mid-back. Like Jason, I think terminal length would create a lot of practical problems in my life. I would like it long enough to do a stick bun.

fantastic update - you really are the poster-child for 'no-trim' patient hair farming - the growth rate is amazing !!! - one more year & your 'stik-bun' will be a 'dream-vision-action-reality' realised ! well done & very inspiring !!! Merry Xmas to you ! CEM.
Last March, I set up a no-cut chart to count the months since my last haircut (which funeste event occurred in September 2013). I have been very strict about it. My wife is itching to be able to make all my hair equal in length. I told her that I was not interested in being a page boy, nor did I want a French garden like at Versailles Palace. My hair is simply natural and I just look after it, without any cutting. I will consider trimming only when it gets too long to be practical, and then very sparingly.
Buns and tails are the thing to do for doing stuff in the workshop, going sailing or otherwise out in strong wind or whenever we have to be careful.
It's nice to hear such kind words from a real longhair!!!

Isn't it great to have "movement" in your hair? ~~:-)
Looking great Anthony! Keep it up! Thanks for posting....

Hi Anthony,
What a stark, but amazing difference between those two pictures you posted. In no uncertain terms growing your hair longer was a great decision and certainly worth going through the awkward stage.I can't even imagine anyone criticizing your current hair the way its shaping up.By all means keep doing what your doing my friend :) Cheers and Merry Christmas to you!

Many thanks. I agree. It was worth going through the awkward stage (there's still a little bit of it left). I feel better and more myself, and ask myself why I didn't do this earlier! I love long hair! And a merry Christmas to you too.

Hi Anthony,
Wow! You have made excellent progress in your growth! I really like the color and texture of your hair my friend! I believe those medieval shirts will go great with your hair! I hope you keep it growing for a while, maybe at least to mid-back length! I must say though that now you kind of remind me of the great Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin! Rock on man!
Ted
I am very reassured on seeing the hair of gentlemen in the 17th century - and they didn't have showers or shampoo or conditioner in those days, but they did have lice! I have no lice, thank God...
I think mid-back would be reasonable without my hair becoming a nuisance in everyday life. We'll see. I looked up Led Zeppelin to remind me. My brother was a great fan of them in the late 60's, and I listened to some of their stuff. I went off that style at about age 13 back in 1972 when I went in for "classical" (classical strictu sensu is Mozart to Beethoven, pre-Romantic) music, the organ and English church music. Quite a few "classical" musicians have long hair. So, whether it's Bach or Led Zeppelin, we can rock and roll!
Any progress towards getting a new kidney?

Hi Anthony,
What a wonderful silvery mane you have grown in the last year! Well done, and keep up the good work with the hair farming!
Keep it growing,
David
"We plough the fields and scatter the good seed on the land" - your mention of hair farming (mine too) reminded me of this hymn we used to sing for Harvest Thanksgiving. I will be continuing - rest assured!

Wow, Anthony, you have made incredible progress with the growth of your hair - it is beautiful, too, I might add. I am amazed.
Thanks. We need now to see an update of yours. I have the advantage of having become very white, though I have to watch out for yellowing. I have some dark blue shampoo for that, but it will take a few times. Indeed, mine grows rather quickly, always has, and used to cost me a lot for haircuts! Now the barber is out of my life...

I'll join the chorus! Amazing transformation and we are all eager to see where your journey onward will take you!

Very sweet of you to say so... I also look forward to seeing what it is going to do up to my 2-year mark (end September 2015). I can already do a nice ponytail. Next target is having enough hair to do a stick bun!

Hi Anthony
I don't post here often but always check in to see how everyone is. I have watched your progress especially as a fellow Englishman. This update is tremendous, I couldn't really tell how long was going to look on you but wow, it really does work for you, great work!
Merry Christmas
Dave
I have not only fellow clergymen, respectively a Roman Catholic priest and a Rabbi on this forum - but also a fellow subject of Old Blighty!
Work? All I do is wash, condition and comb it. The rest is nature. I sometimes take courses of Biotin, the value of which can be judged scientifically by those in the know.
I am one of those people who refuse all cutting and just let it grow naturally, layers and all.
Yours looks good also going by the little photo.
Merry Christmas,
Anthony
