I've seen alot of posts on here about long hair coming back in style. Many agree that it is, others say it will never be back in style. I live in a small city in Canada and from what I can see, long hair, as in shoulder length or longer is not coming back. However, a new style of somewhat long hair is emerging. This new style is what I like to call a "preppy afroish awkward baseball mullet". I use the word "preppy" because it is mostly preppy popular kids that are sporting this new hair style instead of a buzz cut. "Afroish" because 98% of these people growing out this hair style have really thick curly afro like hair. "Awkward" because that's all this hairstyle is, it's hair left in the awkward stage. "Baseball" because all the people with this style wear a baseball cap loosely over it. "Mullet" because when they wear a hat it resembles a mullet sticking out of the back. I guess it's good to see "longer" hair coming back, but am I the only one who thinks this style looks just as bad as a 80's mullet teased with too much hairspray?:P
Why should real "long" hair come back? It's too much work & time for modern trends to want to bother with. Ever wonder why 99% of the time when you walk into a hair salon you don't see any of the hairdressers with hair that can touch even their shoulders?
Now back in "personal style" is a whole other thing. That deals with the individual and not the social trend.
....Being a Longhair is just TOO much work for the 'average' guy.
...Short...spiked....bleached is easier.

Just ask the masses.
I hear it all the time from people how hard it was for them to deal with it and I get asked "isn't it hard to take care of all that hair?". There are many pre-conceptions about long hair.
You live in Canada. How can you say, and I quote, "longhair coming back..... nah"? Try taking some journeys to other countries, cities towns, villages and Hamlets.
I know it's OT, but I have to hear the story behind your name!

Well u could say that I am a longhair with a weak bladder. (ever so slightly). Esp when i've had a few to drink ;)

Yeah I noticed this style too! My worst enemy sports this haircut! I also have one of my former friend who always insult me for no reason, so I can't be his friend anymore. I didnt saw that guy since a while. But I saw him this summer and I was rather surprised: this dork now have the haircut you mentionned! Maybe he wants to imitate my worst enemy to prove that he hates me and that he doesnt want to be my friend anymore.
Lets call this style the Dork haircut. All the guys I know who sport this style are stupid dorks that deserve to be shot.
