I am a 26 year old male and I am growing my hair out long. I have been growing it for around a year now and i am disappointed with the way it looks. It is realy dry an frizzy. I wish there was away for me to keep the look I have when I get out of the shower(wet/oily look). I have tried pomade, gel, and leave in conditioner and no luck yet.. HELP!
I want the hair that christian bale has in Out of the Furnace. It looks Italian looking and kinda greasy. my hair is just so damn frizzy! Help! I wanted to grow it to ponytail length but if it doesn't look good now, then it may not when it actually gets to ponytail length. Im thinking about cutting it because none seems to have the answer for this problem.
Well, I've grown my hair out multiple times and done just about everything and I can pretty safely say the best thing is to just stop putting "products" in your hair. The shampoo and goop you're putting in it is almost certainly what's causing the dryness and such. Your scalp has a natural way of producing oils that moisturize the hair and they work pretty well if you let them.
In a nutshell, stop using styling products at all. You could stop using shampoo at all, as many people successfully have. I personally have cut back shampooing to about once a month. About once a week I massage some baking soda into my scalp, followed by a rinse of vinegar and water. This allows my natural oils to do their thing and my hair has been more moist, less frizzy and had more body than ever before.
Stop being suckered by the hair product industry and just let your hair do it's thing. Less is best.
Use WEN cleansing conditioner ONLY to cleanse your hair and then while wet add OJON rare blend oil to decrease frizziness, though the WEN does that too. WEN available on QVC.com, and OJON on their own website. sj
