I've been checking this board for a while now. I have yet to start growing my hair out but hopefully in the next year I will. I would like to grow it out to the middle of my back at least because I'd like to be able to do braids and different things. Lately I've noticed My hair getting thinner on top and I'm starting to develop a widow's peak. definitely not a good feeling. I've recently been reading about different treatments and what not and actually ran into this article. They're making real progress on stem cell hair regrowth. I'm hoping this happens soon as I'd like to have a full head of long hair when I do grow it out. Here is the link http://www.voicechronicle.com/201501-stem-cells-breakthrough-may-cure-baldness
Yes, if you've always wanted to grow long hair it's better to do it sooner than later. I'm way over 50 and I'm have no regrets at all about growing mine long back when I was 20. It will never be as thick and lustrous as it was back then, but at least I have those fine memories.
