Just wanted to update. This is around 8 months for me, and thanks to having had a longer hairstyle to begin with (faux hawk *shudders*) I'm able to fake a ponytail at this point when necessary (with the help of 3 bobby pins and some foamy-cream hair stuff I found in my mom's hair basket).
Most of the back is held nicely by the rubber, and the rest of my hair normally tucks behind my ears just enough that the bobby pins will secure it. Pretty great all around
And last month's post about the poofy/flaring bottom of my hair? It's already gone! My friend recommended not washing that part as thoroughly as the rest of my hair to leave it with a little extra weight/oil, and it did the trick! So glad
Hope you all enjoy your day!
Your on your way. Let it grow and you will notice differences every month. Enjoy!

Coming along nicely!
You'll be out of the awkward stage before you know it.
Greetings VinYang,
Your hair looks great at this juncture and how resourceful are you in faking a ponytail by successfully securing those shorter hairs:)That's kinda how you have to do things when in the awkward stage to keep your hair in place.Do you have a goal length decided yet?You should grow it to terminal in my opinion :) Have an awesome day....Cheers

Thanks!
Most likely I'll be going for terminal length, or at least long enough to do a bun
Hair is looking good sir :) I just passed 9 months as of yesterday, and am definitely looking forward to the next 9 months to reach my year and a half mark. Keep it growing !
