Greetings, Brothers! As we batten down the hatches here in Southern Queensland and await the Big Blow from Tropical Cyclone Marcia Friday, I took a moment to snap a few new pictures of my hair growth progress. As I've said before, I cannot measure an exact timeline from a short haircut; I'd been gradually letting it grow it for a few years. But the last two-and-a-half years in particular, I have been trimming very seldom and very little, resulting in the mid-back hair you see here. I just had my monthly colour session Wednesday.
I'm very happy with the way my hair looks. My only point of concern is dryness. This especially, because I have been swimming quite a bit this (southern hemisphere) summer; in October I moved into a nice apartment complex that has a lovely lap pool, of which Clara and I are trying to take full advantage. I have a moisturiser that I like, and I also apply argan oil, but the more frequent washings do take their toll.
Much to Clara's consternation, I'm going to keep growing; gotta see where I can grow this to. Most of the time I wear my hair in a bun at the nape. I find, though that because of the volume it makes me uncomfortable when driving the car, so hen driving I'll either let it down or wear a ponytail.
Nu, think of us all sodden Down Under whilst you're digging yourselves out of your snowbanks up there in the USA! (My kids are in Boulder, Colorado, and whilst it isn't as bad as the East Coast, they've had a bit of winter weather.)
Don
Ah, the cascading curls!
What would I do if you guys hadn't taught me that term! :-)
Hey, Your hair is looking good. I like the thickness as well.

You've got some amazingly wild hair, there, Don. I am envious.
Reminds me of several Rock n Roll songs that have "wild hair" in the lyrics -- there's that song, "Wild Wild West" (don't know who it's by) with a reference to somebody's "wild wild hair!"
