did anyone see America's junior masterchef on fox tv last night (tues.)? your impressions of the 12-year boy contestant with long hair?
I am wondering why he wasn't wearing a hair net working around food with the that long hair.
Never confuse television with reality. Especially not "reality" shows.
Have you ever seen Rachel Ray wear a hairnet on her show at the TV Food Network?
Even old school. Did you ever see Julia Child wear a hairnet?
No. I thought not.
So why would you expect that on any other cooking show?
For the record, cooking is one of my favorite times of day. I tail my hair when I'm cooking and do not wear a hairnet.

Shorthaired men shed just as many strands of hair as longhairs do, and shorthaired men seldom see a need to wear hair nets when cooking.
The only difference between the two types of men is that the strands the longhair sheds are longer, so the diner is more apt to see them. If seen, they can be plucked out. If you eat food prepared by a shorthaired man, you will be eating his hair. Ewwww!
