As you all may know from a previous post, I am undergoing a sex change and becoming a female.
I am already living as a full time trans woman, working as one. Last Friday I even started with my HRT ( Hormones Replacement Therapy) and will be changing my legal name and sex next month.
You all gave me lots of support and I am thankful about that.
The truth is that now that I am becoming a female, there isnt much for me to do here in this board where it is clearly a room for MEN with Long Hair (or for those men who seek to have long hair) as I am no longer a man .
For the same reason, I will have to resign to my moderator position that I was working on for the same reason ( Also, MLHH rules do not allow a female member in the moderation crew).
Due to these reasons I believe this is time for to say goodbye to the board and thank you all for all your support throughout this time. Not only in my transition , but also throughout the time I spent here in the board. You are good people!
If anyone wants to keep in touch with me and you still dont have me on Facebook, please feel free to do it.
I will post a link to my Facebook down below ( and I hope it works lol).
Again, thanks to everyone and have a life full of love and hair!
BEST WISHES, Dave. It's been a pleasure knowing you. I hope to keep knowing you in a new way. Life has a way of sending people along at times when most needed - paths cross and intersect - and we are good for the results of it - that is so true in knowing you.
Fitz
I was affraid you would choose to say goodbye now, with all the things you're going through. However, I really don't see the point. People here here have been nothing but supportive to you, and I don't see how your being part of the MLHH could block or slow down your transition. So don't be a moderator if that's the way it has to be, but stay. I think you have been an inspiration for many of us and you can continue to be so.
Dave,
Of course we'll hate to see you go. Your presence here has touched many of us in a very positive way. And your willingness to jump in and help with moderation and the translation of the "On Being a Longhair" FAQ has shown us all that you're one to go the extra mile on journeys you undertake.
You are now plunging into a new journey, and there are other places where you can join with others who are on that road. We can't imagine that you'd not want to spend your on line time among them. You will learn a lot from them, and we know you'll be a great asset to them as well. You see, you have a track record, and it's a good one. Wherever your life takes you, we know you'll go far!
Interestingly, just this morning I was thinking it's about time I post a message here similar to yours. Some changes in my life in recent months have spoken to me that it's time for a change. Those changes are nothing as intense as a sex change, of course, but life is change, and one to some extent must yield to that change and sail where the winds blow. It is reflecting back on those changes that makes an older guy like me realize he has indeed led a full life.
May you live your life to its fullest, and to do that, you have to live your own life. Godspeed my friend!
Bill
I wish you look in the future.
I would mention that you can still stick around and be a supportive voice for those who chose to grow their hair.
I know what you just told our community was something that had to happen regarding working as a moderator but certainly you are more than welcome to provide support to the guys if you choose to do so.Occasionally we do have women who offer their support to the guys so in a way your special because you will have real life experience from both perspectives.I'll always consider you a great asset to the mlhh and certainly was honored to have met you last year in NYC.It's up to you but please don't feel you are not welcome here anymore as that is not the case.Best of luck to your future endeavors and please, don't be a stranger:)
Hugs

Hi Dave,
You are a fine human being, a person of beautiful character traits, and someone who has contributed much to MLHH; so without a doubt, you will be missed! Although I know I have to say goodbye to Dave, this doesn't mean I can't say hello to Luciana Victoria!
Please stay in touch. I have always warmly welcomed and appreciated female supporters of MLHH in the past. And now the same appreciation includes you, too!!
With Warmest Regards,
Ken
