Hey all,
Had a question. I'm planning on going in for a deep conditioning treatment this week, and was wondering what I should expect. I work in the sun, and my (about elbow length) hair has gotten pretty dry over the past couple of years. I've never done this before, and I'm a bit nervous/embarrassed.
Has anyone gotten one of these done before? Is it normal for a guy to have this done? Don't know if I should feel a bit weird about this.
Thanks!
I've had highlights and salon services beyond haircuts before. There should be nothing to worry about. Take pride in your locks! It's good to take care of yourself.
Outside of that, argan oil conditioners you can buy online/in-store are really good. The trick is always to let the conditioner sit in your hair 5-10 minutes before rinsing and combing out -- with warm or cool water. Avoid hot water, whenever you're washing your hair -- it just dries your hair out.
I'm outside a lot and my hair naturally lightens, and gets dry at the ends. I have only have 10" in length in the front right now, but the argan stuff has made a noticeable difference, less frizziness too.
I agree with Carter. Don't feel bad about taking care of yourself.
In fact, a deep conditioning treatment sounds like exactly what I need...I think I'll do the same. Thanks for the inspiration dude!
I have a dumb question: is there any point to deep conditioning? Is there a limit to how much moisture a
conditioner can put into hair? And wouldn't that limit be
reached whether the conditioner is left in for a few seconds
or longer? After all you're talking about a bunch of single hairs.
