Now that I have gained those two extra inches last year, and having now passed my 60th birthday, I now have enough hair to wear a plait/braid more often.
Reactions have been very positive.
Way to go... very cool...I'm glad that you had positive comments..
Happy Birthday!

Awesome! I love it. I've been thinking of doing the braid myself, but have felt shy. My hair is just long enough. Good to hear the reactions have been positive.
Your braid looks good!
I'm around one year older than you -- although after I turned 50, decided to have "reverse-birthdays"; so that means I'm currently 39 years old, turning 38 this coming July...
"Clear as mud?" (LOL)
Regardless of age though, it's a joy to have long hair, isn't it!

So you're two years older than me?
I approach it differently.
I'm 60 years old, I continue to celebrate each and every birthday.
At each birthday i'm thankful to have been married to my wonderful
wife of 27 years, to be alive, to still have hair that I can
continue to wear long, and most of all to alive. So i'll continue to celebrate each birthday and celebrate being alive on this mortal coil for another year.
I've seen a large number of friends, relatives, and co-workers
die over the recent years. The way I look at it is life is too short, so while i'm still alive i'll continue to wear my hair
long while i'm till alive to do it.
So yeah, each year i'm one year older, I celebrate that and
proudly admit that i'm that old. And at this ripe old age i'll
continue to wear my hair long until the day I die. And continue to wear the clothes that i want.
Life is too short to suffer with short hair.
Great takes on age - both of you. Not sure which I follow, but I certainly don't feel 60! And enjoying having long hair every day!
Hi bte,
Very nice braid you have there! I can see why the reactions have been very positive! I really like the color! Please keep it growing and stay well my friend!
