That is some great looking hair. I like the way he phrases it:
"Perfect sun protection for my back and legs!"
His hair is awesome! However, I know that length would drive me crazy.
Absolutely in awe. I didn't know hair could get THAT long!
I could tell that person was a man. His hair is very long and beautiful, too.
Very long and nicely maintianed...
Love it
This guys' hair is unbelievable! And so thick & healthy! What a great inspiration. I just wish I had hair like that....Now at mid back and turning 57 this June, I don't think mother nature will give me enough time to reach that length...unfortunately.
Does anybody know where this guy lives? Is he part of our board?
A.D.
Besides the fact that I tend to distrust someone who is unwilling to show their face, if you watch the video closely, you'll notice 2 distinct colors -- a lighter brown, and a much darker brown (almost black hair)... not that Mother Nature doesn't give us some color variations within each individual mane; but in his case, the colors don't look like a natural blend.
Of course if his hair is 100% his own real scalp hair, who wouldn't be jealous? It is amazingly thick, and in excellent condition! Very few people on the planet, -- male or female -- are lucky enough to have such great hair genetics as that.
But, why hide one's face? And why are there 2 distinctly separate hair colors (even though ALMOST looking the same)?
Sorry to be a "doubting Thomas" and toss cold water on everybody's dreams here; but please don't believe every hair video you see on YouTube.

I too find it difficult to believe. There are plenty of guys with very long butt-length hair, but very few down to the ground. Terminal length usually kicks in before then.
That being said, I'm not jealous. My hair isn't yet as long as I would like it to be, but having it that long would make life very difficult. It takes me about 3-4 minutes to comb my hair, perhaps add a minute for very tangled ends. I would like to get to mid-back length, and perhaps combing will take up to 5-6 minutes. It will be good to have a choice of ponytails, buns and braids. Another couple of years will open all those possibilities.
I think that most of us work and have outdoor activities. For sailing, I have to do a ponytail and wear a beanie or headband. Otherwise my hair is very difficult and painful to comb. It will get more difficult as it gets longer. I don't know what I would do with extreme length.
Each to our own...

My blog
Hi Anthony,
I think of it as finding "balance" in one's life, including with hair. Currently I'm happy with my hair at terminal length (just past my belt line in back, but a shorter terminal length in front -- forming more or less a natural "V" shape). The only trimming I do nowadays is using the "Search & Destroy" method of going after individual split ends, and snipping off the offending hairs just above the damaged area. BUT.... I might someday decide to go a few inches shorter than my terminal length, trimming it back to lower-back length. It would be easier maintenance, and also give my ends a thicker, smoother look; but for now, as I said earlier, I'm happy keeping it at terminal.
*IF* i had the genetics to grow my hair to knee-length, I think that would be a heck of a lot of fun to try it that long (at least for awhile - LOL); but Mother Nature plus my age (61) has told me to shut up and be grateful for the hair that I do still have on my head, and that the length I can grow it to is actually beyond my wildest expectation for an old geezer like me (LOL)!!
Always a pleasure chatting with you, Anthony -- and Happy Belated Spring!

The ability to easily put the hair up definitely takes some of the stress out of having more length.
Yes, "Amen", Trolleypup!
The majority of time I step foot outside of my apartment, my hair is usually tied back into a bun. I wear it that way at work, I put it up in a bun on a windy day, whether doing some gardening outdoors or cooking indoors, or even when going to some of my favorite C&W or other partner dance events, putting it up is such a practical and quick way to deal with the extra length, keeping it safer and more snarl-free than a braid or segmented ponytail does.

For what it is worth this guy apparently has five you tube videos up with the "long hair." Also if you check his information he also has some videos on wig making.
So it would appear that Urban Cowboy (Ken in SF) is correct.
Too bad, his hair did look great.
I thought the same thing first -- after being very envious. Sheesh that is frickin' amazing hair! But, then I thought about the affects of the sun.
Even my hair (which is decades shorter than his) has a range of lightness on the top/outer layers because of sun exposure, and the lower/bottom layers are darker. So it could just be that.
I would like to see his face and his hairline, though.
Ken, I personally do NOT believe its a wig. Watch all his videos. He would not be able to toss his hair left & right, back & forth. He would not be able to brush his hair the way he is without his wig moving.
Regarding hair color, he might just be coloring part of them...He would not be the first one to do it....
Regarding showing his face, he might not doing it being afraid to have negative work repercussion. I could relate to that. I could not grow my hair long before....Only since I started my own company 4 years ago that I can...simply because Im the boss...and still today, Im getting weird looks from a few other executives (from other companies I must deal with) when they see me with my long hair reaching mid back (and getting longer all the time)...
A.D.
Now I on the other hand do believe it is a wig. I posted
his you tube page further down on this thread, if you check out his videos you'll find a number of them on wig making.
That speaks volumes that is a wig.
yes ken ... at 1st I thought - 'that's insanely stunning' !!! - but quickly my thoughts went - that would be virtually nye-impossible to maintain - I'm majorly, big-time struggling to maintain my length - nedalone his floor-length & it's insane thickness - so yes I do believe it to be a wig - a beautiful wig - but a wig nonetheless ...
I also have some doubt on the realness of his hair... Hair grows about 15cm per year, hair life span is between 2 and 7 years (genetics, hormones...) so the maximum terminal lenght is (15*7) = 1,05m xD I know its not an exact science, but his hair is much much more than 1 meter, and look so perfect... so...
Perhaps some of the hair is real. It appears that the lighter hairs reach his knees, which may be his actual terminal length, and he may have put on some extension clips underneath his actual hair to give an appearance of a longer/thicker length.
To me, it looks like a wig.
This guy has gorgeous long hair. And if the hair gods are really good to you, it is possible to reach floor length. After all, we all know of Hairfreaky and Danny Cecati. Both of those guys have magnificent floor length hair. And there are others, such as Damian Marley and Sudesh Muthu. You can Google them for some great photos. And here's the link to another guy with beautiful floor length hair.
