Amazing difference to bad you have to tie it back in a tail. I am coming up on 3 years without even a slight trim and this really has my barber going gagga's when she trims my beard but finally getting used to the fact that the hair is totally off limits. I have two pictures one taken while I still shaved my head about 5 years ago and one that my leather-man partner took just before we crossed the 2 year anniversary that I had posted on the day I joined this conversation on being a Long Hair.
Silverthorne working on getting there too
You are doing well. I tie my hair back when it is necessary, but it is loose most of the time. Your hair is quite frizzy, but you are still getting length. Just keep going, whatever your style of life. Best of luck...

Wow, Anthony, I really notice a big difference here! Congrats, you've made tremendous progress.
Thanks, Jason, for the kind words. I have never had it this long in my life - and I will be going much further. I'll just need to watch out for split ends like everyone else.

Here's a little update of my hair from behind - ponytail and loose:Anthony
well done - again, you are the poster child of the patient, no-fuss, no-trim method of growing out hair, which gives supa-fast results & your pix. are proof in the pudding ... cheers ~~:0)~
Yep - that's my philosophy. Just let it do it's own thing and keep it nice and clean. My wife uses dye and all sorts of things, and cuts hers too short. Each to our own.
Another year should see my hair more or less to mid-back length, and new techniques for combing out the knots! It's all great fun.

Yes, outstanding progress, Anthony! I particularly like the waviness and that little curl inward at the end. Is this after a wash?
Don
This is about two days after a wash / conditioning, but no styling of any kind. I take great pride in my hair being simply natural. Your own hair is coming on wonderfully and your braid looks great.

LOOKS GREAT!
Thanks, James, I see you are still playing the drums and encouraging the youth. You do great work. Greetings to your lovely family!

Looks good Anthony! I'll be able to post an 18 month update in about...oh...15 months. Thanks for the inspiration!
Well, I had to start sometime. Someone else will say the same too when your hair is draped down your back and you start enjoying it in earnest.
Amazing how a human being can discover himself through something so simple!

Hi Anthony,
Wow! That is some seriously wonderful long hair you have! I am just loving the texture and color! I would definitely be letting that hair hang loose most of the time! I am amazed by your progress and hope you keep it growing even longer! Thanks so much for the inspirational update my friend! Please stay well!
Ted
Many thanks for the kind words, Ted. My hair is loose most of the time, but it can become seriously annoying if I am fixing the car or the boat, or gardening. I tie it back for practical reasons such as these or to avoid silly situations with elderly short-haired women with strange political ideas inherited from the French Revolution!
I'm keeping going, and I will be growing it much longer. The longer it grows, the less hair ends I'll be getting in my mouth!

Awesome progress Anthony. I can't wait until I reach the year and a half mark myself. The longer my hair gets, the happier I become. I love this journey :)
Simply don't cut or trim. Wash and condition at the regularity appropriate for your hair, and just let it grow. Time passes too quickly! You will see...

Hi Anthony,
My apologies for the late reply!
You have made excellent progress, and have great hair to work with, with really nice colour and thickness. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to your future progress.
Keep it growing,
David
Congrats, brother of class of September '13!
Hair looks fantastaic, and you are truly turning into a longhair right before our eyes!
So happy for you, Anthony! Hard work and dedication pay off :)
Hard work? All I have to do is leave it alone apart from the weekly wash and combing when needed.
Seriously, many thanks for the kind words.
