Hi everyone,
Just thought I would post a couple pics of what my hair looks like at the present time. Needless to say, I haven't really gained much length since I trimmed about 2" off a while back. I am suspecting one or more of my meds are causing my slow growth nowadays. At least I don't seem to be losing any hair! Thanks for the inspiration!

I do thank you so kindly for your prayers! I am disappointed with my hair, but am feeling better nowadays! I have to go to the hospital for a procedure where the doc drains fluid from my abdomen. For some reason it is collecting there and causing much discomfort. Hopefully that will improve things a bit for me!
As for my hair, seems to be growing, albeit very slowly.
I would really like to get it past the shoulders a good ways. Maybe I should take Biotin like some of the other guys do here. I never used to have a problem growing hair when I kept it short! Crazy hair I tell you! Thanks again for your kind words-much appreciated! Please stay well my friend!

Hi Ted,
It's always nice to get an update from you. While it does appear that you haven't gained much length, your hair still looks very healthy and thick. Hopefully, it's just a delay as your body continues to adjust and battle with your health issues.
I know eventually you'll give us an update when you'll announce that you'll be getting that new kidney. Until then, I really admire your positive attitude as you deal with your current situation.

I am doing fine. I am lucky enough to be at a stage of deciding to grow longer. I am currently at waist and I may maintain this length or a little shorter. Anyway, I am blessed to have this
problem! LOL!

Thanks so much for your very kind reply! I do hope it is a temporary thing due to my health. But I'm not giving up! You can bet I'm really looking forward to getting a kidney transplant soon! I sometimes feel like my life has come to a standstill. Thank goodness for my friends and family being there for me! Life is good!

Firstly, your hair looks great! Make sure you trim them by 1 cm every 6 months and I'm sure it'll work for you.
But most importantly, I encourage you to keep your positive outlook at all times. Your positive attitude is to be commanded...which I'm sure will be crucial for the next step. Based on you pics, you seem to be in good spirit. Keep on and you'll win that health fight with flying colors.

I much appreciate your very kind remarks! I do try really hard to maintain a positive outlook! Sometimes it gets rough going, but my family helps me work through it. Also, I get a lot of inspiration from everyone's posts here! I shall keep on and win the battle in the end! I will probably try to trim just a tiny bit of the ends as you suggest. I very much appreciate your very kind words! I am trying not to fret about the growth, but am getting impatient! But as they say, good things come to those who wait! I still want mid-back length minimum. I am definitely happy-and reasonably healthy I guess. Hope you're doing well also my friend!

I'm sorry to hear that you are thinking one of your meds is slowing your hair growth.However you can find that out by researching the side effects of any drugs you are taking.Still your hair does look full and fabulous my friend and as long as you aren't loosing any that's a plus.Otherwise I hope all is well with you as we enjoy spring and the upcoming summer :) Cheers.

Thanks so much for your very nice comments! Yes, I take Metoprolol and they give me heparin on dialysis. Both of these are known to affect hair growth. I'm not totally sure this is happening, but it seems so. I am definitely looking forward to the warmer months! I just can't handle the cold weather! Please stay well my friend!

I thank you kindly for your very nice words! I am definitely ready for a kidney transplant! I have been on dialysis for 3 years now and it does get old. I will surely keep you updated! Thanks so kindly for your very nice words! I am happy with my hair except for the growth rate. I just want to get past the shoulder length so bad! If I could at least hit mid-back length I would be very happy! As far as health, I just keep hanging in there and taking care of the issues that come up. I sure hope a kidney is not too far away!
