  I can't believe that a year has already come, and gone on my hair growth journey. I knew that I wanted to grow my hair out when I began, but didn't think that I would have the mental fortitude to see it through. I feel like from here on out my hair will only get better with length, and I really love the change. I feel a sense of freedom with my hair growth. I feel like I can be myself completely for the first time, and for the most part, people accept me. I really look forward to the next year, and I wish everybody on the forum the best in their own personal journeys. Take care everybody :)

    Congrats Patrick! That is an accomplishment and your hair looks great! My goal length is at the one year mark; and I am halfway there. I hope I have your fortitude! Watching your progress has been an inspiration and very helpful navigating the awkward stage.

    I know your feelings about being yourself for the first time, it's the same feeling I had when I reached 1 year too, your hair is looking pretty awesome as the time goes by and please keep growing it and don't do dreads to your hair (you aren't being forced to do it, it's your hair and you know what to do by the way, just sharing my opinion).

    Thanks for the wonderful update! Your hair is looking just fabulous! And you are looking very happy with the results! I have been following your progress with interest and have been inspired by your progress! Yes, I think things will be easier and better from here on out. Good to hear people are accepting you-but really you only need to make yourself happy. And possibly your spouse:)
