As many of you know, I recently made it to a year of hair growth and faced opposition at my job here in Texas. I stood firm, and am loving every day that my hair gets longer. Today, my boss commented on how he actually really likes my long way hair, and that he wishes he could withstand peer pressure enough to grow his out. I took it a a compliment, especially here in conservative Texas. Here is a pic after getting home from work, and changing into my casual clothing :) Take care all !
I meant longish, wavy hair :)
Hey Patrick Brands,
Congrats, bro!
You stood your ground and now the fears about not being able to be yourself at work are behind you. It sounds as if you have won
the respect of your boss because you stood up for who you are, a born long hair. You may have opened up the way for other guys who want to grow their hair to now do so.
Enjoy the freedom, bro.
Your long haired bro,
Raymond
Good on you for standing your ground. Best of luck in your longhair journey.

This is great! Congrats! And for him to say that, he must also appreciate your contributions within the company. I'm really happy for you!
That's great news. This is also a great pic. Your hair is growing so fast. Nice.
Congrats! Persistence pays off. Looking great.

Hi Patrick,
I am so happy to hear this! It definitely pays to stand your ground and don't give in! I sure wish I still lived in California, Texas is way too conservative for me! I must say you are looking great in this pic and I love your tats! Great smile as well my friend! Enjoy your journey!

On a side note, i think you resemble a young Jimmy Page! Here's a photo:
Actually, here's a better photo:
That is awesome !! :) I really do appreciate all of the feedback from everybody on this forum. You guys have made it a lot easier for me to get through the akward stages, and I really do wish all of you the best. Take care all.
You're looking more and more awesome with every update, you have a TERRIFIC head of hair to work with; so please keep up with the good "work!"
Some people just are born to look right with their hair long -- and you are definitely one of those lucky people!
Take Care,
Ken in San Francisco
Keep it up! You look good! You should tell people who try to force you to cut your hair that if girls can wear their hair long, then so can you. Otherwise it's discrimination.
