new thread
i have been growing out my hair since i think around thanksgiving last year was the last time i cut it. i have also been growing out my beard since about mid february of this year. i havent trimmed either since deciding to grow them.
i am just getting into the thick of the awkward stage and i think the worst part is that you dont get enough respect for having the balls to actually have a mullet and walk around like everythings cool.
the good thing for me i think is im a little bigger and also the beard helps, so no one is really gonna say anything to me without thinkin really hard about the consequences.
i decided to join you guys in the forum because im not really a social person especially when it comes to things such as hair so i think this community will help me to be able to say things i wouldnt express to people i normally talk to.
i am at work so when i get home i will figure out how to put up a pic or two to show where im at..
my short term goal is to get to a "last samurai" look
at that point i would feel like it was worth it, then everything after that point will all be bonus round for me.
Welcome. You are a little ahead of me- my last haircut was January 2. I am just at the beginning of the awkward stage, my hair is an inch and a half over my ears and is, well...awkward.
Cool that you're also growing out the beard. I like the long hair w/beard look. Also, Tom Cruise in the Last Samurai has a nice length. One of my fav movies.
