Need some advice. I'm taking family to Florida for holiday and am going to spend a decent amount of time in the ocean. What can I do to protect my hair? I'm thinking a leave in conditioner. Any other ideas? Thanks!
I don't have anything infallible to advise, but I am constantly at sea in my boat. The best I can suggest is rinsing under a cold shower and not shampooing more than usual. You can rinse each day with conditioner or simply in cold fresh water. That will also get your tangles out.
Good luck,
Anthony

I also suggest tying up your hair if you are doing something like sailing or surfing. Leave it loose when swimming - and get your rinse as soon as possible. Many beaches have cold showers available.
I cannot say enough times how protecting Coconut oil is for protecting your hair it is not heavy like other natural oils and I find myself using a very small amount warmed to body temperature by rubbing a dimes worth between the hands and working it into at least the pony tail length of your locks. I am also ingesting a half ounce internally to spark my roots and after 3 months see a noticeable difference. I have a natural wave less than curls that I never knew I had now that I have 3 years growth and I love the softness that natural oils left in bring to my hair.
