  I saw someone else's post about the french braid (which is what led me to knowing what it was actually called), and was curious as to whether or not I could do it, myself.

  Turns out that I can just barely do it, however sloppily :)
  Can't really expect to use it in public any time soon, but after some practice getting it neat I might.

    I've always thought the French braid was a cool look, but it is tricky to do on your own. Practice will improve your skill at it. It helps a lot if you can rig up some way to see the back of your head in the mirror as you do it. These days the less polished look for braids and such are more acceptable, though, so it's OK if it comes out a little rough.
