Thanks for being supportive. I've been practicing my braiding for a while and finally decided to do it in public. People didn't really care which was cool. I even wore it with my friends. A few of them teased me a bit but nothing real mean or anything. I think Ill start doing it more often now. Its nice to have people say it looks good on here and say don't worry about what others think, so thanks.
Congratulations! You are beginning to get the mindset of a
long hair. It takes a certain amount of courage to go against
the so called "norms" of society.
In my case as long as I conform to my own norms that is all
that matters.
I wear one every day and it soon becomes something you don't even think about. No one ever comments and I couldn't care less if they did. You might want to try halftail braids too. They're the best of both worlds.

Your hair looks awesome. As a man you have the freedom to wear your hair as you want. Now that you've overcome the hurdle of wearing your hair in a braid in public and have endured a little lighthearted ribbing from your friends you should enjoy the freedom which is your birthright as a long haired guy. Enjoy the freedom of wearing your hair in public anyway you want. People who know you realize that it is still the same guy they have always known only now you are free to express yourself more fully.

Thanks for your note! I've been wanting to wear a braid now that my hair is long enough, but have felt shy. I'm going to give it a try.
I don't think most people will say anything especially if its not anything fancy. Maybe if they know you since only my friends said anything to me.

For work this is the only way to go. I braid or bun everyday for work so none know how long my hair is (butt). Life is a one shot deal and why should us guys not enjoy the same way women do. It's about keeping the faith...if peeps make fun then really want hair themselves. So early days different but nice....as you and your friends get use to you they will learn to love it. The advantages outweigh any disadvantages and it's a great feeling when you let your hair down at week end.

Braiding makes you look elegant and stylish and there are many natural hair braid styles which can be made and they are easy to make also.

Hey Brayden. I wore my hair in two braids (pigtails) to my work one day. I received a lot of compliments. People usually take it easy and compliment mostly. None said it as bad or anything mean. Teasing in a friendly manner happens, but that's fine. I had to take a bus there to my workplace. a couple of stare happened in the bus. but that's pretty much it. try different hair styles. it's good that you have your sister helping you. I am sure you can try more styles. So go for it. have fun.
