Hello, I am also new to the site. Great community! It is cool to be with you guys! Name´s Mark, 23 years old. I am from Slovakia (a tiny country in Europe, just in case). Have been growing out my hair for about 4 years with occasional trims. Have it down to the shoulder blades, would like to have it longer but after some length milestone my hair seems to have stopped growing... well I am not upset, I am happy with the length I managed to reach.

Don't worry about your hair stopping in its growth at a certain point, it happens to all of us -- we refer to that as "terminal length" around here. Some guys are just genetically born luckier than others.
Your English is EXCELLENT (sounds better than mine - LOL)! When I was young, I used to stare at world maps and globes, memorizing the names of many different countries & cities, fascinated with Geography, etc.; but the political landscape has changed so much over the years, I'm afraid I'd only be able to guess at where Slovakia is located... Near the former Chzeckoslovakia? Eastern Europe at least, I assume.

Yes, Ken; Slovakia is 'half' of the country known as Czechoslovakia, which existed from 1919 to 1993. Czechoslovakia was an artificial construct, kind of like Iraq today, made up of two ethnic regions of the former Hapsburg Empire. The Czech Republic, with its capital of Prague, is probably better known in the West. After the fall of the East Bloc, the country divided naturally into its two distinct parts. I've been to the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava, which is a delightful old city on the Danube River just downstream from Vienna. (About an hour's drive by car.) Welcome, Mark!

Yeah, perhaps this is my therminal length. Sometimes I think it would be fun to have waist length hair but on the other hand the longer your hair is the more time you need to maintain it...LOL
your guess is right. Czechoslovakia split up into 2 parts back in the 1990s: The Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Quick hair history re. myself:
1) My brothers & I grew up in a household where my dad absolutely wouldn't allow long hair on any of us (not even "long" in the slightest -- in fact, every summer he gave us mandatory buzz-cuts, because his military background thought this was "good" for us)
2) After one year attending college, I left my dad's house at age 18 (almost 19), entering the workforce; but starting my first attempt at growing my hair out a bit (although only achieved "long-ISH" during my 20s and early 30s (mostly due to restrictive job dress-codes);
3) Starting to seriously finally grow my hair out in my late 30s (I finally had a job that was OK with that), I achieved my first full ponytail by my 40th birthday in the summer of '93...
4) I impulsively cut my waist length hair to short in June of Y2K, on the first day of summer, 2000 -- which I deeply DEEPLY regretted!
5) I've been growing my hair back ever since, basically been at terminal length for the past several years (it's been a slight bit past my belt-line; but very thin by the time it gets that far down)...

Welcome to the board! Your hair looks great! Your hair is already fairly long....be patient...it will continue to grow...it's just that as it gets longer, the growth seems to be a bit less noticeable!
