Granted, my hair only just hits my nose and I'm growing my hair out again, but have always been a longhair at heart... Yet, I'm gay and have rarely, rarely ever met another gay guy with long hair. Are there any fellow gay longhairs out there?
Go to "links" on the home page, and scroll down to 'Gay longhairs" A great site. check it out.
There are a number on this site.
Bill in SF and I are on a site for Gay Long Haired men the URL that I use on Google Chrome is: http://www.gaylonghair.com/ I use it but not sure how to subscribe and get your photo and bio loaded onto it.
I belong to the Sundance Association for Country Western Dancing here in San Francisco -- a gay and lesbian based community of dancers, over 2/3rds of which are male. The last time I heard what the membership count was, it had topped over 500 people -- and out of those 500 regulars, I've known and dance with most of them... and yet, I can count on only one hand how many guys I've seen at the local Sundance Saloon who have long hair, me often being the only one out on the dance floor that night...
Does that answer your question? (depressing, isn't it? - LOL)

PS - If you click on my avatar pic in the upper left hand corner of this reply, you can go to my personal website, which includes a Dance Page (as well as a Hair Page) -- which also includes a link to Sundance Saloon.
Bill you are full of surprises growing roses has me gag-gad and now Country Western Dancing. I have not had CW dancing of late it comes and goes in Eugene mostly gone but with the only gay owned and operated Gay saloon coming to Eugene in August The Hammered Lamb on West Broadway Between Carnelton and Olive we might have an opportunity to CW dance our hearts out. I'll keep you posted.
Bill? I'm Ken. Bill & Larry live in San Francisco as well as myself, in fact we are only a 10 minute drive away from each other by car; but I'm the one who does C&W dancing... Click on my avatar photo in the upper left hand corner, and it will take you to my personal website -- which includes a Dance Page that you can click on after you finish reading the little introductory silliness...
Bill Choisser, by the way, was the tech wizard who put together my website for me back in '04. But he's not interested in going C&W dancing, although he has seen me make a fool out of myself on the outdoor dance floors at Civic Center's After Pride Party, and also at the annual Castro St. Fair in October.

Sorry Ken my brain is whacked didn't mean to cuss at ya by calling you Bill. I knew that it had been a long hot day in the valley and I was thinking about how I could reconnect with Chris in New York City a lot lately as he prepares to summer in Los Angeles with his divorced husband and the boys. Since I posted about CW dancing one of the local members replied we do indeed have dancing men locally and I am going. Need to close it will be hot soon and I have been trying to keep the rose garden looking like it is really loved again. The house next door is up for a Sheriff's auction soon and whoever gets it needs to know that I care about the neighborhood.

Hey Kenny - I'll dance wif ya - that'll be two plaits whippin' round the outside-round da outside ... LOL ~~;0)~
Yes we are around, I know of only 3 presently in Eugene Oregon. I have been writing to Ken is SF and Chris in New York City regularly. I traveled by AMTRAK north for a VA medical appointment recently so I was in Portland on Wednesday (6/17/2015) I was really surprised at the many long haired gay men hanging out at Scandals on Stark Street. Scandals is a lovely place to hang out in the afternoon window shopping from the inside is great too.
My son is gay and has long hair. He's 21. Doesn't hang out here, though. I imagine that anywhere his dad can be found is not that appealing.
Bill Choissier hasn't chimed in yet, but he introduced me to this board and he is gay.
Just to be clear, I'm not gay myself.
However, there's a gay bar in the alley behind my office, and judging by the clientele, I would say you are correct in concluding that very few gay men have long hair.
I'm gay too. Don't post a lot, but I'm here.
Thank you, everyone. Good to know there are at least some gay longhairs out there!
It's funny, I think every guy that I've met with a man-bun has been straight. I wish more gay guys would grow their hair long. It's like some weird cultural mystery to me. Ha! Or, maybe I've always had a thing the longhair surfer type. Anyway...
Hi(gh)!
Oh, yes, how familiar! 20 years ago, when I was an absolute newbie on the Internet, I asked the very same question! Back then it was on several Usenet groups rather than on a WWW forum (if I remember correctly, MLLH did not start before 1997!). And, yes, back then it was almost hopeless to find any longhair on the gay scene, even in such a gay metropolis like Cologne... and it's disturbing to me that obviously NOTHING has changed since the 1990s! Probably even still the same stupid BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM techno "music" in the gay bars (I can't tell, as when I met my (of course also long-haired and bearded!) king of hearts nine years ago, I withdrew completely from the gay scene), the same ridiculous pseudo-macho "bear" attitudes... no, I don't think that I missed much since!
See you in Khyberspace!

So glad someone posted this. As a gay, college-aged guy with waist-length blonde hair, I can assure you that we exist! Glad to see you do, too.
Gay here, and a long-hair as well.
gay here too! :) 29, live in the UK so if anybody is ever visiting London say hi!
Yeah! Me too. I've always found it strange that gay men as a group don't like long hair. So weird. I've always found it really attractive.
Interestingly I've noticed percentage wise more straight males have long hair. It's the men with buzz cuts who are more likely to be homosexuals. It could be people who keep their body functioning in a natural way are more likely to be inherently straight as well. Truth is long hair is natural and very short hair isn't if left to nature.
Two words here: STRAIGHT PRIDE!
Gay - ex longhair and currently growing it again. I know a few gay guys with long hair, but I work in the creative industry which helps. I'm 26 if it's relevant. I've noticed that European gay guys - well basically gay guys that aren't American, tend to be more open to longer hair.
... this is a belated response - granted ... I do believe that MOST: ( if not ALL ) - will be touched by 5. subjects in their lives: ( either directly & personally or indirectly via greater family, work colleagues, friends & acquaintances ... & the 5 subjects are 1.) knowing someone who is gay: ( we make up 10% of the global population ) 2.) knowing someone who has had cancer or a stroke. 3.) knowing someone who has committed suicide. 4.) knowing someone who has 'Aids'. 5.) knowing someone who has been a victim of crime. / suffered divorce / suffered family fragmentation & conflict. ... as for longhair ... well our rarity makes us all the more special ... cheers CEM. ~~:0)~
