In my case I would think that damp weather would make my hair

Thx. ... it's cold 'n wet, dark early, long shadows ... I'm particularly feeling the cold this year for some reason ... it goes wavy & knots more: ( it seems ) - knots, knots always knots ... LOL

Have to say I've been enjoying the summer here so far as the season always seems so short while winters drag on forever in my view.In spite of the hot days and humidity I'd take it in a heartbeat over what you are describing above ;) No fan of winter here unless its spent in an area that's more mild and doesn't snow :)Take care of that mane my friend and do keep warm .....Cheers

Hi Mârk - agreed in full - being cold is yukky ! ... nothing nicer than the suns warming rays ... winter makes me appreciate summer & life's variations, changing seasons & the ever changing world around me - ready or not ... take care also & n'joy your summer to the fullest cheers Cem.
