I'm a bit skeptical, but I am open-minded of accelerated hair growth, but 1 inch in a week??

I would describe it in one word..................baloney.
1 inch in a week? Are you seriously? You can't grow that lenght in less than 1 week, unless if you apply for some extensions hahahaha.

I doubt it. Stuff like this can be tricked with indirect measuring, a bit of extra brushing, etc.
The oil/scalp massage thing is a good idea by itself to do once in a while, though.

If it was possible, that would be 52 inches a year. A 6 ft tall person could go from bald to dragging the ground in less than 18 months.
That lady certainly has beautiful hair, but 1" in a month seems impossible, it's true. Her hair is very long, though. I wonder if she might have a bit of length variance from one measurement to another just from her hair's own elasticity.
Wondering about this, I did a search of "inversion method" and found some interesting blog posts in which the bloggers claimed to have tried it. None claimed 1" in a week. One said hers grew 1/2" and another 1/4". Even that would be worth considering, though.
The method doesn't seem like it would be any harm to a normal person, so I'm thinking I'll try it just for heck of it. I'll try to post my results here once I do. I think I'll first measure mine first thing Sunday morning, and then following Sunday AM to know my normal growth rate for a week. Then I'll do the inversion method, which calls for week of oil soaks, followed by 4 minutes of hanging your head down.
The consensus seems to be that you can't do it more often than about once a month, though, so I doubt that anybody's getting 52"/year doing this.
Anyway, I'll give it a try. I'll put links below to the posts on it I found.
