Today is really hot where I live. So, with being tired of hair on my neck, I decided to try a top-knot to get it off the neck. I like the feel of it. Most of the hair except for odd-ball whisps is long enough for it to be in the top-knot. I do not know that I would go out with it like this, would probably go out dressed as a samurai only like this in the area where I live. However, costume party season is a few months off so... Even with the hair on top of the head, the hair is still long enough that some of it barely reaches the nape. The hair on the back of the head reaches the middle to lower portions of the shoulder blades. It is nice to finally start getting some length. I am at the point with the hair on the front of the head where it is almost long enough to push behind the shoulders. I cannot wait for this, eating will be easier again and I will not have to put the hair in a tail in order to eat anymore.

My hair in the back is resting on my shoulders, curling around. In front it's just past my jaw. I cannot tell you how annoying it is to eat!! Half the time, I'm just spitting my hair out. Cannot wait for that to be over.
When it is hot outside I just leave the hair loose and cascading down the back. The hair provides some shade and protection from the sun. I've found wearing it in a pony tail, braid or anything else doesn't really help with the heat. So I just wear it loose and enjoy the sensation of the hair on my back.
