Well, I used to be known as the man with the ponytail, but since I started wearing a braid (plait in British English) a few months ago, I have started to be identified by that.
I now wear it all the time, as it's convenient, and comfortable, and most people have been very positive, which is great.
Anyone else identified by their hair?
Moreso when it is down, but yeah.
Oh, yeah. Happens all the time... One lady I knew from work apparently described me as "the guy with the unusual hair style" (because at work most of the time people see me wearing it in a bun).
A dance friend of mine, whenever he sees me on the dance floor with my hair back in a bun, teasingly says, "hey, it's Grandma!"
Grandma - like it!
Seems people are so used to my long hair that it is no longer even a topic of conversation for them. Early on though it was a topic of conversation but now rarely. Although I did have a woman mention L.O.L. to me. Small minded people. Most people aren't intelligent and principled, thus the shitty, chaotic, waring and confusing world we have today.
Thanks for the replies - it's true that familiarity breeds a lack of comments.
