Oops! I should have typed it: "long HAIRS!"
Oh, well. At least this beach house is cheap (probably free!) -- and just look at that million dollar view!

Lol...nice picture :) I wish I had a view like that minus the rubble.
Yeah, it's an odd stretch of coastline in San Francisco called Land's End. Sections of this area you'd swear you were miles & miles away from any big city; then suddenly, you come upon this scene -- not only of the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance, but in this graffiti-painted collapsed cement structure (an old public bathroom, perhaps?)... The views are spectacular though!
looks like damage from Loma Prieta. OI wonder if Barbie and Ken, or was it Ken and G.I. Joe, survived. Though it could be undiscovered since 1906, also.
I had a dance partner named Barbie once (actually, she preferred to be called Barbara). We won a Tacky Tango contest one New Year's Eve party during the '90s, at what was once called the Metronome Ballroom -- we had a heck of a lot of fun hamming it up!
But, back to the Loma Prieta earthquake:
I much prefer hanging out with G.I. Joe (although am not fond of his military short haircut - LOL)! Yes, we survived -- and so did Barbie (although she and I only have just a platonic friendship going on - LOL)!
You do the Tango huh Ken for that I would make the trip to San Francisco to so the Roster Tango with you my Rose loving friend. That is if I can get the Alpha to co-operate. Seriously don't laugh I am that crazy and I intend to prove it. Silverthorne
When I won that Tacky Tango contest with my then dance partner Barbara, back in the early '90s, neither of us actually knew what the hell we were doing. But, the owner of the Metronome Ballroom said the judges were looking for Tango ATTITUDE -- of which we had plenty! So, that's why we won! Years later... in the mid to late '90s, I finally took some Tango classes and a few private lessons from a Ballroom and Latin dance teacher named Marge Gabbert, in SF. There are 3 different Tango styles: American, Argentine (the original), and the "International" style (basically British competition style). I don't care at all for the International / competition style, so avoided taking any class in that; but I did take a lot of the North American (based on Rudy Valentino), plus a few classes in Argentine...
Do I remember how to dance ANY of it nowadays? Probably the easiest of the basic patterns, yes; but otherwise, unfortunately no (I haven't danced any Tango in years).
