I've been watching this site for a while now but never posted anything. Haven't had a haircut since decades so I belong here. I was born as a longhair ;) and trim it myself when I think that it is necessary.
It's fun, isn't it, trimming one's own hair -- for me it is, anyway. That way I can do it as infrequently or as often as I like (including cutting as little amount as I'd like).
For the past several years, I've been enjoying my hair at terminal length, only trimming off the split ends whenever I see some. I use the "Search & Destroy" approach, looking at my hair ends next to a sunny window, then snipping the individual hair ends that show damage of some kind. I find it to be a very peaceful & relaxing thing to do -- and the nicest part of the chore is that I'm not left in shock afterwards (like when I go in for a professional trim, and the hairstylist takes off more length than I had asked for).
Welcome to MLHH, Mr. Barefoot!

Thanks for welcoming me Ken.
I've always been unhappy with hairdressers so I stopped wasting money for that. At work i wear - no not footwear - a ponytail because it's more comfortable especially when it's hot.
I regret not having begun to grow my hair when I was a child. I didn't dare. This picture shows me being half as old as today. Ok, you can't call it a haircut but I liked it. :-)
Born this way? It's natural and normal to have long hair. Having short hair is actually the odd approach.
Yes, somehow. I always liked long hair. There was a time when I was not allowed to. Later I didn't dare. But I never changed my mind.
Welcome, Barefoot. I'm new here myself. I like the way you were photographed, so that you can see your hair in the front and back. I've just started letting mine grow, so it will be a while before it is anywhere near your length. I'm finding a lot of inspiration here. Thanks for posting the photo.
All the best,
Marx (BambooForYou)
Hello Marx.
Thank you for welcoming me. There are still far too few long haired guys so I thought it would be a good idea to make a posting here. The more we are the better. :-)
