Hi people!
This is a message from a former member from the board .
Some of you remember me and some others may not.
I used to be Dave , a fellow from Argentina . A few months ago I came out as transgender and I am currently transitioning and living full time as a female since March 2015.
Just to give you all a little update on my life:
- I came out to my family , friends and work.
- I started HRT (Hormones Replacement Therapy) to transform my body.
- I got plastic surgery back in May 2015 to match my gender identity with my body ( I only had a boob job and a nose job done at the same procedure)
- I got my name and sex marker legally changed so now I have a female government ID ( The law in Argentina allows trans people to change their sex marker and name without having to go through a Judge authorization, its a simple paperwork and is free of charge).
Oh, and I have a boyfriend too!
All these changes happened to me in only 6 months and I still can't believe all that I have gone through.
I know this may sound like a little bit cliché but when people say that your dreams come true if you fight for them, believe me that's true.
Here's a current picture of me where you can see my hair length (sorry for the duck face) . At the back is mid back length and the front is past my boobies.
I hope you all are doing ok.
Hugs & Kisses to all . Those who know me and those wo don't,
Luciana.
I do remember you. I hope things area going well for you.
I know a number of Trans gender individuals and the road they
travel is a very difficult one. Trans genders in the US of A are
not treated well, which is really sad.
Sadly too many trans genders in the US of A end up dead since the
environment for them is so bad.
I know its not cool. You guys have an amazing country and a lot of potential . I hope the law changes soon for all trans people in the USA.
Hi Luciana,
Of course I remember you being I actually met you last November in NYC as Dave of course! I had no idea at that time the big change you had planned but regardless I support your decision:) You obviously have experienced a lifetime of change the last several months but I feel your at peace with your decision and that's all that matters. That's cool you have a boyfriend already which I knew being I follow you on Facebook.I'm happy you stopped by here to say "hi" which says to me you still care about us and our mission. Hope to see you again here and maybe in the city again should you make a return trip to the area. Take care of yourself and keep the faith my friend :) Hugzzzzz to you

Wow, that picture is even way before I decided to transition. Looking at that picture and comparing to how I look right now makes me realize all of the changes I have been going through .
Thanks for your kind words Mark. Hope to be back soon in NYC.
Very interesting to hear that even as recent as the meetup between us you weren't thinking about the transition yet. When you first announced the news here I wondered if you knew back then what you were contemplating.I have to admit I was blown away but not for one second did I feel anything negative towards you.I'm happy your happy and that life is what you want it to be.Look forward to seeing you again in the future :)Hugzz

Hey Luciana,
Great to hear from you.
Your long haired bro,
Raymond
Hello, Luciana
I've been on the board a few months, but don't recall you, so I must've missed you. Good luck going forwards with your transformation. :) It can indeed be hard for non cisgendered people. I myself am coming to terms with my own gender identity. I don't think I'm trans, but I do know that I don't except gender roles, or gender binaries anymore. The more that I think about it the more gender seems to me to be something like manners or morality: a custom that varies from culture to culture, place to place, and time to time. Being a "man" or "woman" is as arbitrary as which spoon goes by which fork. Again, I wish you well. :)
Glad to hear from you. Good to know that everything is going well.
You look gorgeous....and most importantly so happy! That's what's most important.
Hope you keep on growing your hair much longer.
