Hi everybody,
I apologize for not being very active on the board lately. I have been somewhat busy with doctor's appointments and whatnot. They just told me my heart is only working about half as efficient as it should. Definitely not good news to me at only 49 years old! But I digress.
I have been following you all's updates though! You guys are making great progress and I am going to try to reply to all I can! Keep up the great work and I look forward to your future updates! Here is a photo of my current hair length. I don't really keep up with the time frame of growing anymore though.

Been wondering about you.....great to see your update.
I am just "up the block" from you in Austin. Been working here for the past three months......Texas weather is rough on hair.
I notice your sailing Tee-Shirt. I have been taking sailing lessons on Lake Travis on the weekends...even worse on the hair.

I do appreciate you wondering about me! I have been hanging in there going to dialysis 3 times per week along with all the doctor appointments. I am feeling pretty well most days. I'm patiently waiting for a kidney transplant. However, now that's been put on hold because of my weak heart. Doctors are following me closely now and I have changed my diet etc.
Glad to hear you're just up the road! You are correct about Texas weather! But I would say it's rough on hair-and people! I have lived here for a very long time and I still am not used to it! But we have great Mexican food and barbecue here!
The shirt is a fictitious graphic t-shirt from Old Navy. Unfortunately I am not a sailor! I am very happy to hear you are taking lessons though! Hopefully you are enjoying Austin and our Texas hospitality! Thanks again and please be well and safe!

Glad to see you pop in again as I have missed your presence here lately.I'm very sorry to learn of your heart condition and the fact that's affecting you transplant timeline.I trust its something that can be addressed so you can go back to your main goal of receiving the transplant you need.
On the hair front, its still looking great my friend.It's always nice having that to look forward to when other things are less than stellar.Keep the faith as things will turn around for you I truly believe:) Cheers

Sorry to hear about the heart issue. I hope you can get the blockages cleared. With all the new heart procedures and medicines there are, I think you can do stuff to mitigate the issue. Here's hoping your heart health improves.

I do apologize for this delayed reply! I'm not even sure what exactly is wrong with my heart yet. The docs are seeing me quite often right now to change med dosages etc. I have faith in them and the Good Lord that everything will be okay! Your thoughts are truly appreciated! FYI, I've had an heart attack 3 years ago and part of my heart has dried out. However, I've learned to live with it. I still do lots of outdoor activities, mostly biking and hiking in the summer and downhill and cross country skiing in the winter... but with moderation. I also realized who my true friends really were. So I'm a living proof that you can still enjoy life. If I can do it, so can you! Keep faith my friend. Better days are ahead. Just be patient.

My apologies for the late reply! I have never heard of a heart drying out! I will have to ask the docs about that. The docs told me that my heart is not pumping the blood powerfully enough. I am very happy to hear you are able to still do all those activities though! I sometimes get short of breath. Doc said I could do moderate exercise only for now.
I can believe you about the true friends! It is amazing how some people can be isn't it? I will never give up, believe me! I will surely keep the faith! I know better days are ahead! I shall be patient! Please be well and thanks again for your kind words!
