Just got back from a 2 week camping/hiking trip with some friends right before school is gonna start. My hair did real well on the trip. Everyone was teasing me at the start saying how it was gonna be messy and hard to take care of etc. But I just wore it in a braid in the day and combed it out at night and it was super easy and a few days in everyone was laughing because my hair looked better than my friends with short hair.
Just wanted to say hi.
Here's a pic from right after I got back. Not too bad since I haven't washed for 2 weeks and got real sweaty and dirty.
Yeah, with proper care and attention, long hair can come though looking great!
Good for you!

Hey Brayden,
Your hair looks awesome, bro.
How long have you been allowing your hair to grow freely? It looks strong and beautiful.
I look forward to more progress pics.
Your long haired bro,
Raymond
This is for Raymond - hey dude 6 months on this blog and you still have the same pic grace us please with an updae unless you shave you skull it is all good....Huge Grin inserted here
Your long haired bro,Silverthorne
Proof of just how easy it is to keep long hair looking good!
Hey Brayden,
I'm envious. Your hair is so full and thick, where mine is fine and thin, like baby hair. I'm happy for you, though. Enjoy it.

Looking good Brayden. Your hair has grown quite a bit since your first post. I wish I had begun growing when I was your age. I would have never cut it short again. I really enjoy it long and I hope you enjoy it for many more years to come. Keep the updates coming.

That is some thick hair. The girth is at least 4 inches. (Mine is only 2.6) How long are you going to grow it to?

I would say that this rejoins my personal experience. I am "unwashed" since...? Must be at least one year and a half. I mean, occasionally wetting hair because of rain or swimming, a handful times per year. Otherwise dust, cotton fibers and even carbon black at some point just stick to the oily sebum and are removed by combing. In the worse cases (like with carbon black or sea salt) I have to wait 48 hours or so before hair goes back to normal, but invariably it does. And most of the time it is just smooth, shiny and clean.
Just to put things into context: I have 50 cm long, black, thick, straight-ish hair. I suppose curly and thin hair would have more hard time to stay without washing.
Sweet I am so jealous dude and I am just back from camping myself new picture another selfie yesterday coming soon. 3 years and 5 months since I shaved my skull.
Wow! Your hair looks great. They seem to be so thick. Hope you keep on letting them grow much longer.
A.D.
I am amazed about the thickness of your queue!
Long locks for ever!!!

Not fair. I'm going to turn you in to the Hair Police. It should be against the law to have hair that nice looking after a 2-week camping trip, especially considering you said you hadn't washed it in 2 weeks as well... Again, it's just not fair. I mean, where is the nearest Hair Police station? There aught to be one nearby -- and if I find one, I swear I'll turn you in!

Ken - You are a hoot! I always enjoy your posts. You make me laugh. Thank you.

Looks good. :) I wouldn't worry about the washing thing much. I used to wash my hair everyday when it was short. Then when I started growing it out I'd wash it every 2-3 days. Now, with my hair just past my shoulders, I wash it every 4-5 days. It seems to do alright with regular combing. Keep it up! I look forward to seeing your progress. Cheers! :)
