I wore my hair naturally Sunday and with my bangs down yesterday (sides tucked behind the ears). For the past few months I've been a) slicking it back, b) wearing an Alice band (last week or 2) or b) wearing a hat. Maybe this kind of held the waviness back?
Yesterday and today it was wavy like crazy! I like it though, it's just hard to tame in the bang area, they tend to curl instead of lay flat.

Enjoy the waves! As your hair gets longer, it might become straighter except at the ends. Some people pay good money to have wavy hair. I was myself surprised as I got to your "hair age".
Keep going!
Anthony
Thanks Anthony! Im so curious to see what it looks like longer. I do wonder if it will weigh down and take away some wave. I am breaking a new record each day because this is the longest Ive ever had it ha ha.
Cheers! Congrats on your new length. I saw your post the other day
Wes
You have amazing hair! I am really envious of the wave and shine! I would completely embrace the waviness, and I am sure it will look better and better as it lengthens! Your waves are impossible to fake and look really great. Best of luck enjoying the growing out.
Sj,
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it. I'm so excited to see how it looks like longer. I guess that's the joy and the excitement of growing it out. Not knowing what it will truly be like around the next bend in the journey!
When I first saw the subject line of your post I was expecting to see some photos from the beach on a stormy day :)
You certainly have a great head of hair. I imagine that it will look fantastic when it gets long. Enjoy the journey!
ha ha! sorry to disappoint...no beach pictures here!
I really appreciate that. I kind of kick myself for not growing it out earlier. Im really looking forward to the day where it rests on my shoulders!! Im trying to enjoy the journey and embrace the "awkwardness", Its cool to see the progress unfold each month and day because I am in uncharted "waters" ha ha! I really want to push through the in between phase because Ive wanted and tried to grow a long mane before
Looks great! I Can't wait to see it longer. I bet in the next six months it's going to get really wavy, and in my opinion that's a good thing. Just let it go.
I appreciate it Steve! Im aiming for your length (collarbone) So pumped to see my locks flow in the wind and the waves to be more pronounced.
Wes
You are guaranteed to be the envy of every man, woman, and child with hair like that -- ESPECIALLY as it gets LONGER!!!!!
OMG, Wes, you have no idea how blessed by Mother Nature you are!! Just enjoy the journey, prepare yourself for some crazy-looking days when you'll feel tempted to cut it all off; but just hang in there, even if you have to wax down your surfboard and literally "Hang 10!"
"Onward & Downward!"

Thanks Ken! ha ha gnarly curls today!!
I know im so thankful God has blessed me with these locks. I wouldve never know unless I grew it out!
Thats what i hear that wavy hair can look good for a week and then switch up and be unmanageable. I think itll be worth it!
Onward and downward I go!
Wes
Looks awesome man! Keep it growing!!
