Really awesome to see to many people express the same things I feel and that there's this one thing that brings us all together from so many interesting places all over the world.
Currently living in London for 2 more weeks, then after 6 years here I'll be moving to Thailand (my quarter life crisis is calling for adventure!). So I'll be asking all you curly haired folk for lots of tips on how to deal with the humidity!
I'm trying this whole "no-poo" business but still condition after diving practice and I'll be trying some home-made shampoos soon (so if anybody has some advice please feel free to share!)..
Awesome!
Please keep looking that good! You're already an inspiration for some of us.
Haha thanks man! :-D
What a great head of hair! You look super with that hair and the beard. You could probably do some modeling.
I'm experimenting with the "no-poo" business myself, trying to limit shampooing to once a week and then I will try to go longer. I still use conditioner in the shower, which seems to actually clean as well as condition. I'm also using a leave-in conditioner after I shower, which seems to help prevent tangles and leaves my hair more manageable.
Let us know how things work out for you in Thailand. Best of luck.

Thanks dude :)
I used to only wash about once a week also - and for about 5 weeks now no shampoo. I did go through a patch where it was really horribly oily and looked terrible but that lasted about a week.
So far I can't say I highly recommend it - altho it is less frizzy. But yes I condition once a week still - and I'm gonna try make some home made shampoo somehow but I'll probably only do that once I've moved cuz I can't schlep lots of ingredients over continents. But I'll probably do lots of coconut treatments and banana/egg yolk masks etc since Thailand obviously has lots of those.
I'm mostly worried about frizz- so I'll start doing cold water rinses and see how that goes.
Hi SwimfanZA,
your hair is awesome!
I haven't tried out home-made shampoos, but I can recommend olive oil soap and aleppo soap. They work incredibly well for me (straight hair).
Wow. You have my dream hair! Gorgeous.
