Walking back from the store with my roommate it must have looked like a dream to the two dudes in the convertible...us, the short one with the curls and the tall one with the super long waves. I always look when I notice someone with the top down in weather I would have the top down in (60F and sunny)...and caught each of them suddenly and firmly turning their heads back to the road.
Not quite as good as busting a catcaller though.
LOL, that's a great story, I always love it when people's expectations are turned upside-down on their ear!!
Not to worry, a few days ago I got "vielle dame à cheveux longs" (old woman with long hair). They get a surprise when they see stubble on my face in addition to my wearing normal men's casual clothing. I always get a good laugh out of it!

That's funny. Sounds like something out of a movie. Where the person in nice car sees (or thought) a set of bodacious ladies only to see a couple of guys... classic!
they were a set of bodacious ladies ha ha; i caused a traffic accident once
it has been a while, But several times, first in the latter 60s. I was approached with "Fill it up, ma'am", or " other such queries form guys thinking I was female, until I turned my head and they got the full Moustache. Reactions were priceless. May as well have had the Warner Bros' cartoon surprise reaction sound effects.
Yes a funny story........I have had wolf whistles a few times too and laugh it off. Years ago in the 1970's the delightfully politically incorrect English comic Benny Hill did a skit of a middle aged man seeing a long hair hitch hiker in the distance whilst driving towards same person in his car. He daydreams of a fantasy of a picking up a lovely gorgeous long hair blonde woman and dating and wine/dining her came to a shattering end when slowing down the blond long haired hitch hiker turns their head and gives a wonderful full bearded smile back and is revealed to be male in all his glory....
As young kids growing up in the 1970's we used to enjoy having the game of seeing longhaired people from behind and guessing whether it was a boy or a girl. Unisex clothing was in vogue back then and kids made their own entertainment.
