Hi everyone,
As promised, here is a couple of photos of my current hair length. I thank you all for your encouragement to my post below! I cut my hair back in October of 2015. I really don't know why I cut it to be honest. Sounds strange but what's done is done. I can say that one reason was that I felt my hair wasn't looking its best. Another reason is that I had some news from the doctor that could have had something to do with it. One thing I can tell you all is that shortly after getting it cut, I missed my long hair. And it wasn't even that long yet!
So, now I am starting over. And believe me, it's going to be a test of my patience. I am one of the most patient people you would ever know. But, of course, I know good things come to those who wait. And I shall wait and enjoy my journey back to where I need to be. My health seems to be holding out which I am very happy about. I truly appreciate everyone's kind responses to my post and for welcoming me back! You guys are a hell of a group and I love all the updates lately. Awesome hair and I hope you keep it growing! I am delighted to see you back, and you have certainly been missed. In fact, I know that I should apologize to everyone for not posting as much recently as I should, but it was your post that brought me out of the woodwork.
You are off to a great start, and you can count on everyone's continued support in your new hair growing journey.
Interestingly enough, I went through a similar episode back in 1999, when I cut my relatively long hair short. I finally came to my senses in early 2004, and realized that short hair was not for me, and I have never looked back. Although I don't have a particularly long terminal length, I am reasonably happy with what I have, and its thickness for someone who will be 63 this year.
That is great news that your health is doing fairly well, and you can count on my well wishes for even better health in the future.

Well, I certainly am happy my post brought you here again! And I am very happy to be back and on my way to having long hair again! It is fun watching the different stages my hair is going through again. This board will be of much help to me in growing again.
I didn't know of your awful experience in the past! I sure am glad to hear you corrected that situation! I have always admired your hair in all respects!

Thanks so much for the very nice reply! And yes, you are correct! I have to start taking those steps now! I definitely miss my hair even though it wasn't that long when I cut it. I plan on going even further this time! I think I would like belt length if I can get it. I am already enjoying the differences in my hair as it grows. Please take care of yourself!

I really appreciate your very kind comments! Although my health issues are not a thing of the past, things are definitely better than they have been! I feel so much better nowadays and have even had people tell me I don't look like I have any medical issues! Amazing I say! Perhaps my good attitude has something to do with this along with the Good Lord above! I will enjoy my new long hair journey to the fullest, believe me! Please take care of yourself!

Good to hear from you. I'm glad that your health issues have improved. Sorry to read/see your hair status, but life is all about learning and growing. Everything we experience and all the decisions we make can be used for learning and growing if we have that attitude. It sounds like you're there. On the bright side, you've been down the hair growing path before, so you know what to expect.
Occasionally the thought crosses my mind to cut my hair, especially when I think that maybe I look ridiculous having both MPB and long hair. I've decided that if those thoughts get serious or persistent, I will give myself at least one month before making any decisions or going anywhere near any scissors.
Take good care of your health and your hair and keep us updated on your progress.

Thanks so much for your very kind comments! I definitely miss my longer hair and plan on correcting that as soon as possible! As far as my health, I am doing my best to take care of myself. Not always easy, but necessary nonetheless. I should have fun with the hair growing process. Watching it go through different stages and doing what it wants to do:).
Well, I certainly hope that you keep those thoughts about your hair at bay! You look perfectly fine with that white straight hair which goes well with your face! Please don't stop growing your hair because of that! I definitely look forward to your future updates! Thanks again for your reply and please take of yourself as well!
