I am a 58 year old man and am thinking of growing my hair out again but this time a little more drastic. When is to old to old.
When is it too old to grow your hair long?
When you're six feet under ground.
You're never to old to grow your hair long. (I'm 61 years old,
Also a few years ago we had a civil war band at our encampment,
one of the band members was in his 80s and had waist length hair.)
NEVER!
You will find that quite a few of us are in our late 50's and 60's. I have just turned 57 and I started growing my hair when I was 54. Even if you're bald on top, you can still grow the back hair. Good luck with it.

I've grown my hair out from short to long 3 times. First when I was 20, then when I was 34, then when I was 54. That was 10 years ago. It's not as full and lush as it was in my 20s, but I like it and that's really all that matters to me. If you like long hair and you can grow some, why not? Who makes the rules? Just you.
I'm the same age as you, albeit I've has longish hair (i.e. shoulder length) since the age of 15, and then really grew it out when I was 23. Can't seem to grow beyond natural waist, but never mind. It's long as I can grow it, down to there hair!
I'm 61 and I don't plan on going short again. So... NEVER!
