Well, I had a blood test earlier this week for more detailed results on my thyroid. TSH is routinely tested every year and my doctor said it was OK at 0.74 where the range is (0.40-4.50), though it seems to me that it's on the low side of normal and further testing is warranted since I have an unexplained growth on my thyroid and seeing a thyroid specialist.
So I got more tests since my hair is thinning. These results seem to be OK as well. T4 free was 1.3 where range is 0.8-1.8 and T3 total was 94 for range of 76-181.
Unrelated is that my hair is not breaking since I put the hairdryer down. Hopefully it'll start to thicken in a couple months since my thyroid seems to work.

Are you on any thyroid medication? It's the thyroid medication that does a job on the hair.
No medications for anything. Daily I'm taking nature's bounty hair skin and nails (soft gels) and MSM (1500 mg). Then twice a week I'm putting a little castor oil (cold pressed and organic) on my scalp and in my hair. I'm not seeing many hairs in the shower and my hair brush now. I'm hoping it gets thicker within a couple months.
