Last few times that I went through airport security, every single time they had to pat down my back (where my hair is). To be fair, I do have below the belt length hair.
Anyone else have the same experience? I don't use TSA Precheck.
My hair is almost as long as yours (4 inches above the waist) and i've never had that problem. I just go through normally. My long hair has never been issue. Several times I got preferential treatment where i didn't have to take off my shoes.
{IMHO it's security theater. For all the money spent on airport security we are no safer today then we were on Sept. 10, 2001.
To determine how true this is just look at the thousands of guns that get through security undetected.
I keep mine in a ponytail at the airport. Even with that, though, one time I had a guy feel along the entire length of it. Must've thought something was hidden inside? But I'd just been through the X-ray.... Maybe he had some sort of fetish?
