Hello fellow long hair peeps XD
How are all of you today?
I am interested in beginning to grow out my luscious locks. Currently I am at 0% hair (Bald LOL)
Do you have any tips and tricks? Figured it would be fun to try and grow it out as long as I can. (Like Jason Momoa)
Thank you,
Ricardo <3
The best advice I can give you is to avoid barbers, scissors, or stylists whose main reason for existing to cut hair. Also get redy to excersize a great deal of patience. Hair grows at an
average of 1/2 inch per month, so at that rate it will take a long time to reach your desired length.
Here's the best advice I think you can get: stay with it. For the next year you are probably going to think your hair looks like an unruly mess. Just know that after it grows out it will look great. Put your mind on other things than hair for long time and then suddenly you'll have great long hair.
This is the third time in my life doing the longhair journey. Right now I'm at around 4" of length and starting to get into the awkward messy hair stage. My hair really curls with all the rain we've been having here in Philly and I think just looks horrible but people only notice my long beard and comment on how good it looks!
So my tip is to distract people by growing a beard. When I was younger I got the "he looks like a girl" cracks till I started lifting weights and growing out my facial hair. Then people got too scared to say to my face that I looked like a girl from the back.

As the other have said , it takes time. You will go thru looking awkward phases so grin and bear it . If your hair is like mine wavy and curly , you can tame it with gels , hats or, Bandannas Try to use all natural products or no poo shampoos. Black Beard has posted some great links for this. When it gets longer ( 1-2) try a Boars hair bristle brush. And allways go by the 2 week rule . If your thinking of cutting your hair, give it 2 weeks. Youll most likely abandon that silly idea
