Its a shame most of the contests and competitions for people with long hair that happen around the world only allow women to compete. However, I stumbled upon a video from an event in New Mexico focused on Native Americans that held a Long Hair Contest earlier this year. I think its been 5 years since the Gathering of Nations (as the event is called) held such a competition.
The best part is: men could participate in the competition! There was 1 male winner and 1 female winner in 2014, but this year had 2 winners for each gender: one was in the range of 7 years to 12 years old, and the other was 13 years or older.
I would include a link to this years competition, but the video footage cuts off after one of the male winners claims his reward, and all we hear is audio. Its disappointing!
I forgot to mention: all the competitors had waist length hair or longer! They all look great with those locks dont they? Well, the men were the more attractive ones, but thats just me.
I like to watch that 2014 video almost as often as I am on Youtube. Some really nice hair there!
The male winner was cute, too. As I said, the 2019 competition video cuts off too soon, so if better footage appears on the Internet, Ill be glad to share it.
I also heard there was a Long Hair Contest at the Gathering of Nations in either 2007 or 2008. Since live streams werent a thing until more recently, there wasnt any known videos of it. I hope men competed that year like the did now.
All I can say is: there better be another contest at the next event in April 2020. Its already enough all the long hair competitions in Europe seem to only allow female contestants.
