Hey, everyone! Been a long-time lurker of this community, and today I feel like it's finally time to post a picture of my hair. This is a picture from a few weeks ago,right before work. I usually try and wear my hair down because I love the feeling of it on my shoulders, and because I get a lot of compliments at work.I read Bill Choisser's "On Being a Longhair" many years ago, and instantly felt a connection. I am DEFINITELY a Born Longhair; wanting long hair is among my earliest memories. I plan on growing my hair down to my belly button, but one of my friends wants to grow his hair with me to terminal length, which would hopefully be down to my waist or even longer (I wouldn't complain if my terminal length was floor-length or longer, but I seriously doubt it). I'm excited to finally be a longhair, and I'm even more excited for my hair to grow longer and longer! Cheers!

Yes, you have awesome hair, so thick and healthy... it would be a gorgeous mane if you grew it down to your waist (or even longer). But...
...having waist-long hair also was a long-cherished dream of mine, but when I actually grew it out during the 2000s (my thirties), I had to realize that my terminal length, like with most men, is only about mid-back! So better be not too optimistic in your length expectations...
But even at "only" mid-back length, your hair would look fantastic!

Thanks for the nice comments, Yadgar! I sometimes think my hair sort of thin, but then when I wash it I can barely get my hands through it! As sad as it would be, mid back length would be fine with me. I'm hoping I take after my mom, though: she once had waist-length hair! We have very similar hair types, so hopefully I inherited the gene for a super long terminal length! I'm gonna remain realistic, though. Thanks again!
Looking at your photo I think your hair likely will grow past your waist. It just looks it, usually I can tell.
I certainly hope so! I think I'd like to go for terminal length at least once, just to see the longest it could possibly get. I don't think I'd keep it at terminal le gth, and I feel like I'd probably keep it around my belly button or my waist for the rest of my life, but who knows? Maybe terminal length will be my favorite length? Only one way to find out!

I wish it would... but it stopped at mid-back already 15 years ago! If I was less obese, I still would rock a gorgeous swamp gypsy figure (i. e. long-haired and mustached)... think Jonathan van Ness!

I've been growing it for 2 years and almost 4 months. It would be much longer but I got A LOT of trims, just to make sure it didnt grow into a mullet lol.
It looks good and really thick. Hopefully you reach your goal.
