Hello community,
I've been growing out my hair on the top for quite a while, and like half a year ago, I also started growing out the rest.
My hair is creeping down the back of my neck and it curls up, it just looks horrible.
My question: pull through? Is it necessary to grow the hair out there too, if I want "complete" long hair?
thanks in advance.
If you've only been growing it out for half a year that's just three inches, which is barely a start. Whenever you start to grow hair out from short it grows at odd shapes and angles for awhile. This is called "the awkward stage". It does this because short hair has been free to grow at more upward angles. As your hair gets longer over the next year or so the roots will gradually start growing the hair at more of downward angle, which will look much better. For now, you just have to make the best of it with the awkward stage, I'm afraid.
