Hello all,
I used to be a member back in 2007.had shoulder length curly hair. I lived on an island in greece
I'm 37 now. And in the last 3 years I've thinning out so much on top and the crown it had to go. It's been a hard transition. I buzz now every other day. Sometimes shaving with cream.
I've now taken up the Hobbie of a beard
I'm starting to grow a year long van dyke.
That's just the way the cookie crumbled for me.
I even considered growing a sort or rats tail plaite at the thickest part of the back of my head. With a shaved head. Kind of like the Chinese did. But I felt silly.
Anyways. Not really sure why I stopped by, other then grow on for those who can't gents.
You should stick around. You can still be a fan of long hair.
If my hair ever thinned I would grow a long beard and braid it.

Same story here, I've been bald for some years now, just shave my head. That hasn't stopped me from being a longhair fan.
Love to see your manes guys, keep them growing!!!

I was a regular member back in 2007 -- in fact, I was one of the Moderators then. I went by the handle, "Longhaired Urban Cowboy" (or just "Urban Cowboy" for short)... if I saw a pic of you from back then, I bet I'd remember you!
We can't help our own genetics, regardless of whether we consider ourselves "lucky" -- or not.
I have a receding hairline, and also my hair is gradually thinning; but in general, I'm grateful I have what I have... nothing I can do about it anyway!
Like you, I've contemplated growing my beard out longer.
I should post a recent pic of myself; but since I no longer own a home computer, I have to figure out how in the heck to post a pic from my iPhone... TECHNOLOGY -- sometimes you love it; sometimes you hate it! But whatever the case, it seems to be always changing and "upgrading" (sigh...) Hopefully before our planet has another Pandemic, I might be able to figure out how to do this!

Hey Ken, I used to post back in the day as well, but I don't think I ever posted a picture.
Did you ever try that Regaine or Rogaine stuff?
I haven't, and I'm not sure if I ever will. Just thought I'd mention it in case you've never heard of it!
Good to see the forum is still around.
Hi CTB,
I've never tried Rogaine myself; but I've been aware of 2 or 3 guys in my C&W dance community who I've been told do use it. They all have very short hair; but apparently, feel it's helped them. The cautionary statement that I've been told though is the fact that once you start using Rogaine, you absolutely CANNOT stop using it (or even forget to apply it for even a short while) -- if you do, then supposedly ALL of your hair will fall out!! YIKES!!!
Wow, I didn't know that! That is indeed a major drawback!
