Hello,
I saw a TV show where a woman were hang by her hair and dancing.
Is it fake or real? How is it possible to do this without suffering? I think it would damage roots and cause hair loss.
You can see the replay here at 0:49': https://www.france.tv/france-2/spectaculaire/1974679-emission-du-samedi-3-octobre-2020.html
Yes, it can easily be done by using good technique to make the tension on each hair as early equal as possible.
If you have 100,000 hairs and put one tenth of an ounce tension on each, that can lift over 600 pounds. In metric, that would be 3 grams of tension on each to lift 300 kilograms.
I'm not an expert on this but I have to think the only
way to do it would be to have hidden wires supporting the woman's body. I'd have to think that if you hung her by her hair it would rip the hair out of the scalp.
I know that hair are incredibly strong but the weak point are roots. It could be feasible but it would take hours to have a perfect load balancing because all hair have to be at the same load.
Hair that are too short will be ripped from theirs roots.
Even if she doesn't weight a lot, all her skull skin support her weight.
After all it's just a show for entertaining. But when I watched it I had a strange impression that my hair are pulled.
