Hello,
I did a video of my hairstyles including braiding.
Excuse me for my English pronunciation it's not very good because I haven't munch practice.
Video of my hairstylesHi Jesus,
you have a nice length and braid is very neat :) Thank you for the video!
Hi Jesus,
I think you do just fine with your English. In my opinion, this website is all about MEN'S LONG HAIR! Communication with each other is secondary -- and even though English is the main language we use as a tool to communicate with each other, nobody here expects your English to be "perfect"... I understood very clearly what you meant when you wrote to us; so, no worries!
Your hair looks GREAT, by the way, and your braid turned out very neat & smooth (waaaaay better than mine usually turn out whenever I braid my own hair - LOL)!

Hi PhilipZ and Ken
Good to know that you understand what I say in English (my native language is French).
I did the braid quickly without any mirror and it wasn't perfect.
I learned to braid by myself it took me about one week. I did it on evenings while watching TV, tried again and again until success.
The most difficult part is the beginning when you have to split hair in 3 equal locks. There're always one bigger than others and your braid isn't at the center of your back head. The most difficult stage are when you do all things at back of your head you don't see anything, everything must be done by touch. When you can see your braid it's easy.
Thanks to the MLHH I also discovered the segmented ponytail. Why I hadn't thought this before? Useful when I'm going to funfair, hair are less tangled, should I add one more tie?
I've also a problem with little hair on the top of my head it's always messy (watch the link). If someone has a solution.
Segmented ponytail on amusement ride
Hi again Jesus,
However many # of hair ties you wish to add into your segmented ponytail is totally up to you -- I've tried as many as 7 hair ties in my own hair; but, I usually prefer just 3 or 4.
Regarding the little hairs on top of your hair that tend to look messy (especially in the wind):
These are new hairs (AKA "young" hairs). In the Links section, author Bill Choisser wrote a very helpful article about how our hair naturally grows, plus other great information on becoming / being a longhair. The title of his article is, "ON BEING A LONGHAIR" -- well worth taking the time to read! One of the things he mentions is the fact that our hair has a natural "growth - rest - shed" cycle. Depending on a person's genetics, terminal length (wherever a person's hair stops growing any further downward) will vary from one individual to another. Once it stops growing, the hair follicle takes a "rest"... then eventually sheds (falls out of our scalp); but, no worries! In most cases, a brand new hair soon replaces the old hair. They might look crazy / messy / silly, especially when the wind blows; but whatever you do, DO NOT CUT THOSE NEW HAIRS!! They will gradually grow longer and longer. This all happens at various different times on your head (meaning, this natural shedding & replacing process never happens all at once).
Amazing, isn't it? I find the whole hair growth process fascinating!

Thank you. I've already read "ON BEING A LONGHAIR" and explore other links in MLHH links section. Administrators should check this section because there're dead links to websites that doesn't exist anymore.
I asked if someone have a solution to deal with this little hair to make them look less messy.
I noticed that girls doesn't seem to have this problem. Theirs hair stay straight after the ride. I wonder what they do? Is it natural or do they use heat or chemical treatments? Note that I prefer stay away from chemicals and heat that damage hair on long term.
